**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Luckily BI plays good defense...but jeez his shooting numbers recently :x

This.

I still think it's gonna be awhile for him to finally gain strength he needs, but his shooting is horrendous.

I blame espn for hyping me with the baby KD comparisons :lol
:lol
On the long run, I still believe BI will become a star by year 3 or 4
Most SFs when they start in the league other than LeBron tend not to produce well on the offensive end of the court

Say we get the number 2 pick, who would y'all want to take assuming Fultz is taken first? I'm weary on Lonzo Ball and a G like Dennis Smith doesn't fit too well. Think Josh Jackson would fit like a glove though. A Russell, Jackson, Ingram PG,SG,SF tandem would be extra freaking intriguing and one hell of a young nucleus.

Im praying we can move Lou Will so the tank is on and we can secure that top 3 pick.

Jackson....

As bad as BI has been offensively, somehow he still has the trust of the head coach as a rookie. That counts for something in my book.
Because he's the only guy that doesn't look like a traffic cone out there on the perimeter

Fun Fact: DLo is 10th on the Lakers in 4th quarter minutes played per game (6 min).

SAD

True. Feb has actually been his best shooting month of the season so far, not sure if the stats includes tonight's game but he's been at 46/50 for this month. I don't expect him to become an KD like shooter but if he can just get to PG13 career levels 43/37 consistently, the rest of what he can do will make him a helluva player.

The fact that its being reported that we are shopping him worries me.

I pray we move him but the way we have opperated the past few years, we might end up standing pat. SMH.

I think with Love's injury, the East teams are going to go all in. I think a deal with the Wizards or Raptors will end up happening.

We are going to need him to produce at that level if we want to make the playoffs in 2-3 years.
Randle and DLo aren't going to will us to the playoffs, although I still believe they will turn into really good role players if they can just mentally toughen up

DLo, Jackson, Ingram, Nance, Zubac lineup. 8o

Clarkson/Randle runnin the 2nd unit.

I could get down with that.

If we get 2 go with one if the PGs, if we get 3 we may still have to go with one of the PGs cause I seriously doubt PHX will take one. And you know Magic apparently is in love with Ball. But in that scenario we kinda need to move D'Lo.

If Randle is going to the 2nd unit...shouldn't we look at moving him?

How many years does he have left with out before free agency?

guys dont panic. no need to fight amongst ourselves. magic gonna bring us back to the promise land. he could have chose the knicks, warriors, pistons, patriots, etc. they all wanted him but he chose the lakers. and hes bringing kobe with him too! cuz all we need is one star and were right up there with the cavs and warriors. but its gonna take 3 or 4 years to build through the draft. but its coming no doubt!

how the **** did randle fall off so fast? guy was a triple double machine!

He's lazy and only wants to play one side of the ball. It's a effort thing with him most nights just like D'Lo. They are disengaged for some reason.

You guys think a Ball/Dlo back court would work? Id really prefer not to move Russell in any situation I still believe he can be a great PG one day. Think it would be interesting to see him at the 2 with a guy like Ball running the point but defensively it would be a huge concern obviously with him trying to guard SGs. Praying we can get the second pick so we can get Jackson. Also, I wouldn't rule out Lauri Markannen... top3 might be high for him but sometimes you gotta be ballsy and take the risk like NYK did with Porzingis. Lauri is incredibly skilled and his potential is definitely intriguing.

I think in theory it could work but that's 2 guys in the backcourt that aren't the greatest athletes. I don't think D'Lo is ever going to be a great PG cause of his physical limitations. If he improves his shooting he can run the position effectively, but he doesn't have the natural feel for the position that Ball/Fultz have. So that's why I said I'd look to move him, especially if we get Ball. Fultz and he would be a better fit together.
