**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Everyone on twitter is saying the Clippers are preparing for a summer move to go after PG & LBJ.

Why would they choose the Clippers over the Lakers? I don't get why the Clippers role players would be more attractive than Zo/Kuzma/Nance/Ingram.

The only reason I could think of was that apparently PG was a clipper fan growing up? But I would hope that’s low on his priorities list when considering a team, especially when there’s another team in your hometown that has a brighter future.

They can prepare all day long

PG and Bron will take they free dinner
and politely decline them Jokers....

Bron, and PG on the Clippers would be dope. Especially with all that cap space and young pieces and picks. I hope something can ease this pain of being a Clippers fan my whole life. I hope the basketball gods bless us with a title in the near future.

You can't immediately trade a player you just acquired. I'm pretty sure you have to wait until the end of the season.

Not true. They can trade him today. Just has to be a 1 for 1 swap with no additional salary.

On the radio they were saying 2/8 is the deadline and it would have to be 1 for 1 as Mamba said. Hope we make no moves and keep Randle especially with Boogie hurt

 Magic sick of Rob's story telling and scripture quoting. It's Lebatard though.....

Magic Johnson Reportedly Frustrated With Rob Pelinka

Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka were hired to run the front office of the Los Angeles Lakers approximately one year ago and while they have remained steadfast in their plan to maximize their 2018 cap space, the team has yet to show a real improvement.

There also may be issues between Johnson, who has the final say on the roster, and Pelinka, who is running the day-to-day operations.

"I have been told by multiple sources that Magic Johnson is doing that job the way that I thought Magic Johnson was going to do that job," said Dan Le Batard "Sort of whisking in and out of the office. ‘Yeah fire everyone. Trade everyone. You’re doing a bad job. I’m going to run my movie empire.’ Is he still doing that? The details, the specifics of the doing of that job. Magic Johnson has been given all of the power and isn’t doing any of the work that usually gets done. He’s doing the job the way Phil Jackson did the job.

"He’s pretty mad at (Rob) Pelinka from what I’ve heard."

When Johnson was hired by the Lakers in 2017, Le Batard criticized his credentials.

'The details, the specifics of the doing of the job' man what? :lol

Also, what movie empire? What tf is this guy talking about?

Lebatard has always hated on Magic and the idea of giving people with no experience high ranking jobs. I feel like he's just using their record to prove the point he was making when the hires first took place.

I could be wrong though.

As great as he was the ultimate end wasn't worth it. He's appreciated for it, he killed himself on the floor for us.
