Game of Thrones prequel series: House of the Dragon

Yea Wheel of Time is a better story so far than Rings of Power, the production value is on point too even without the mega blockbuster budget ROP has.

HOTD > both though for me

I loved Wheel of time but it's not any where close to HOTD.
To me HotD was good but it still just feels like a watered down GoT. Mainly with its characters. So many of them are unlikable. The plot also had to stall a lot in s1 compared to s1 of GoT and I knew nothing about WoT and they got right to it in s1 and introduced characters I quickly grew to like similar to how GoT was for me.

Yeah, I highly doubt Henry would play any Targaryen other than the Conqueror. The show is named House of the Dragon, and I fully suspect if Dance of the Dragons ends with season 4, season 5 would jump back in time to Aegon's Conquest or jump ahead to the Mad King/Robert's Rebellion.

My bet is on Aegon's Conquest and Henry would make a hell of an Aegon I. He also wouldn't be a bad Rhaegar and I got the perfect young Bobby Baratheon to cave his chest in.

if the rumors are true, Cavill as Aegon the Conqueror would be a great fit.

some people at work had a discussion about this one and some comparisons between the 2 shows. my opinion is, that GOT hits you hard from the start with intriguing plots and ends each episode with cliffhangers that would make the audience gasp out of excitement, suspense or anger. HOTD is a slow burn. HOTD is nice but doesn't seem to bring that same amount of mystery and excitement. personally, HOTD seems to be going your typical tv series pacing. it's not bad, just not as impactful.

I like rings of power for what it is. I don’t know the lore that well like the nerds but I can see why people would be mad who are hardcore.

I think the hardcore Witcher fans are more angry because they definitely deviated from the stories much more. Sort of stinks but again the show is still good. The time jumps in season 1 make it confusing for casuals though who don’t get through 4-5 episodes.
Rings of Power is nice but I guess the appeal comes with certain characters as well. for some reason, Galadriel doesn't seem to fit my cup of tea for the series nor that harfoot nor that elf archer. for me, the series seemed to pickup with Halbrand/Sauron and Gandalf(?) getting into the mix. not sure but I find Galadriel's character annoyingly unappealing even in the LOTR trilogy and Hobbit.

I always have thought he’s been good as Geralt, Witchers get zapped of their emotion and that’s Cavill to me.

4 days ago he he said in an interview: “To be fair, when I was watching House of the Dragon, I was like, ‘I feel like a lot of these guys could make really good Witchers. I think it would be cool to be in Westeros, I really do. I don’t think there’s a place for me in there though.”

Ohh I agree. Cavill is killing it in the Witcher. But we all know he’s a good actor. Don’t even know why he chose this show and isn’t doing more movies. I mean Sean Bean agreed to do season 1 or GoT but that was on the basis that he would only have to do 1 season and then be free. Good actors rarely do shows unless it’s something limited run.

Cavill is a gamer and loves the Witcher. that's his motivation. although one of the perks for doing it is being with this character....

Nothing more rewarding than this game, my favorite of all time. You get Geralt, Yen, Triss Marigold, and all the people from the show. If you like the show I promise the game is 5x better.

Okay, maybe I'll play the game first then lol

Jamie with both hands imo

Let us not forget, that in that very scene Jamie is pictured in in that tweet, his Kingsguard soldier saw Jamie struggling with Ned and daggered Ned right through the leg.

Jamie was pissed and punched out the soldier because we didn’t get to see the outcome of that fight, which Jamie looked surprised to be being overpowered by Ned midfight.

Two-hand Jamie lot of style that could get the best of him.
