Game of Thrones prequel series: House of the Dragon

Agreed. That one makes the most sense imo.

For some reason, I’m not too sold on a Jon Snow spin off. The white walkers are gone, and dude didn’t seem to care to be king, so it’s tough seeing what they could cover in a series about him.

I would only be watching to find out if Snow Gawd was really the prince that was promised. Or anything of importance really. Why make him so OP if it didn’t amount to anything in the end of GoT?

Like people have said, we’ve already seen The Adventures of Jon Snow and The Wildlings. In order for this spin-off to succeed, it has to be either fan service or there has to be MORE at stake than GoT. We don’t know anyone past the wall so no fan service. White walkers and night king are dead and the realm is United soooooo there’s literally nothing at stake.

I’m imagining how impossible this would be to write. And George won’t even be involved. Maybe a new Red priestess finds Jon, reanimates his dead wildling woman, and we go from there? See! How do you start with something that doesn’t sound stupid? I can’t do it, and I’ve written thousands of scripts :lol I don’t think a Snow show will ever get made. And if it does, I gotta wait for CP to make a thread and watch for 🔥🔥🔥 emojis.

You mean it hasn’t started this whole time they were airing season 1????!!!!!???

they said they were still writing it on the office podcast.

Oh wow, I kinda forgot Jon was propped up as the prince that was promised and literally did nothing to directly stop the Night king and walkers except get Dany as an ally to help use her army and dragons in the war. It was Arya in the end who saved everyone really :lol

Man I probably didn't go in on criticizing that cuz I'm just not a big Jon Snow fan.

As far as what's next, that's pretty easy to come up with. One easy way is Dany's resurrection and the return of Drogon. Other stuff is like a threat from Essos or some other land like Sothoryos.

What I would do is go back to old Valyria. Something nasty gotta be lurking and biding its time there. Time to let it out.

In the books there’s mentions of wizards and dark beings in the deserts east of Essos. Arya said she was going to visit those and would make sense to see some dark being from there come to Westeros

got needs to be retconned and have the long night be the series finale. i dont see how any spinoffs that happen after got can be salvaged after that garbage that happened after. bring back everyone for spinoffs and erase that trash.

Yea, although I would watch a Jon Snow spinoff, that's literally the last show I would want made. Soo much history before GOT. Doesn't have to be about targaryens either. Do Old Ghis or the free cities or the Dothraki. Something on Asshai would be dope.

What are all the spin-offs supposed to be? I’m only aware of John Snow and the Sea Snake.

I want to see HBO make a Valyrian prequel series. It would bring everything full circle.

In 2005 Rome was HBO's big costume epic. It cost far more than The Sopranos or The Wire since those shows were set in present day. "Rome" made HBO more receptive to the idea of doing another big budget epic and that big budget convinced GRRM to let his novel be put onto the screen. Then we have the widely successful Game of Thrones which made House of the Dragons possible. Hopefully HOTD and GOT's success makes it so that HBO will spend a ton of money on a more tangential story from the ASOIAF universe and it will be Old Valyria, the ancient republic which is based on the Roman Republic.

Long video, but very interesting and convincing theory about Larys being a greenseer and warg

Since the series is over, i'll ask some random questions. Best duo in the GoT series?

The Hound & Arya - Gotta be one of the funnier duos of the bunch. The time together when the Hound was trying to sell her to family was great.

Tyrion & Bronn - Equally funny. The salesword and the Rich dwarf made for some amazing moments together.

Jon & Sam - The brother who knows to much and the brother who knows nothing.

Daenerys & Jorah - started from the bottom to ruling most of Essos and was close to conquering Westeros.

Also enjoyed the scenes Arya had with Tywin.
