Game of Thrones prequel series: House of the Dragon

I hope when they do the Doom of Value is that leads to a sequel to Game of Thrones.

Not directly after (Snow can touch on that) but a few decades later. Time for a new invasion of Westeros.

If any king with no clear heir and rule/era that has a damn democratic voting process in place to choose the next ruler (depending on viable candidates at the time) needs to be challenged its that once.

Bran 3 Eyed Raven Stark better have some plan for the future

But for real, if Baratheon accepted his deal from Almond right then and there, whyyyyy didn’t he kidnap Luke as hostage? You’ve recognized that person as your enemy. Why let him go?

because even if he decided to join the greens, he didnt want to be the reason the war started and he didnt want all of targ and vel dragons coming after his neck first because he got their prince hostage

we all saw aemonds look afterwards, he knew he f'd up because he just started the war

wild numbers
jon snow spinoff is gonna run up the score

This show just set up Jon Snow to shatter viewership records. I think everybody soured by Season 8 is 100% back on board again.

Jon Snow’s premiere about to eclipse Y2J’s debut in the WWF in ‘99 as my favorite TV show moment:lol

That episode number is bigger than all of GOT's first 6 seasons, the brand is strong

Hopefully all that success gets some of these other ASOIAF spinoffs greenlit.

Either that or turning it into a Targaryen anthology series like the showrunners have hinted at would be amazing.

They've got events like the Doom of Valeria, Aegon I's conquest, Robert's rebellion and the Blackfyre rebellions that they could cover under the HOTD banner after the Dance is over.

Damn y'all really some GoT historians lol...how you know about all this s***, is it in the books or something? I'm all caught up on both series and I don't know nothing about no Doom of Valeria and all that other s*** you talking about.

Put me on!

There’s definitely a ton of shows that could be spun off. They kind’ve have to do an Aegon I series at this point though.

just rewatched some bits on the Jon Snow parentage reveal and I fully understand why majority of the viewers were disappointed with S8. the build-up to Jon Snow was so huge and fans really wanted him to be the Targaryen hero to end it all set a level of high expectation that didn't materialize made the series ending mediocre.

I believe they can still salvage of what's been left of GOT and continue the arc thru the spin-off possibly having more night creatures or monsters in the Far North to protect Westeros and they could potentially make Drogon return.

if that happens, hopefully it wouldn't turn into a Dexter spin-off show.

Guess Rhae-bae found out why we send Ravens instead of a possible heir to the throne to send messages.

I don't really care much for a Doom of Valeria spin-off. Aegon's conquest sounds interesting and Robert's Rebellion or Song of Ice and Fire even better. the BlackFyre Rebellion seems to have merged with the House of Dragon timeline so they can cut that one out.

I don't even remember how GOT ended.
Like not a clue what ended up happening.
I remember the Hand and the Mountain squabbing and Blondie Burning the entire City but I think that was the Second to last EPISODE.
Oh, and the Incest couple Jamie and Cersei got squashed in the catacombs.

WheelChair Boy became the King of Westeros. felt like a prick move considering he's the 3 eyed Raven.
Sansa became the Queen in the North and the North separated from the rest of the now 6 Kingdoms under Bran.
Arya went on to travel west on an unknown side of the map.
Jon Snow pretty much became the King of the Far and unexplored North beyond the wall and became the leader of the Free Folks ah-gain. they are pretty much the keepers of what still lies ahead.

Starks pretty much ended up ruling Westeros.

See I don't know HOW people can say a Snow show has nothing to offer. The possibilities are literally endless.

The only thing interesting about the North was that is was the domain of the enemy.

Now that's been vanquished I'm not sure how you could a Jon and the wildlings show all that compelling.

Especially if it's not coming from Martin's pen.

I heard Sauron has returned.

The original show got me into the books and all the lore around it, GRRM's imagination is a gold mine

There's so much good material at their disposal, with endings already mapped out so not on any half-assed S7/S8 ****, that they could delve into if ever they decided to expand on other things even further.

The success of HOTD could go a long way to getting those adapted since the appetite definitely seems to be there for more stories in the GOT universe. HBO's also got all the resources to do them justice

Agreed. That one makes the most sense imo.

For some reason, I’m not too sold on a Jon Snow spin off. The white walkers are gone, and dude didn’t seem to care to be king, so it’s tough seeing what they could cover in a series about him.
