last 2 were from a tasting menu of this new place in Houston called Restaraunt Indigo pretty cool theme
"At Indigo, Rhodes wants his food to tell stories centered on African Americans and indigenous people. He calls his cuisine “neo-soul food” and describes it as “the new wave of survival food for people of color.” Over the course of the five-course tasting, Rhodes presents each dish and explains how the ingredients on the plate reflect the struggles faced by black and indigenous people in America. For example, along with a dish of malted magnolia-blossom ice cream with salted butterscotch, thyme, and peach-skin preserves, Rhodes discusses how peaches came to be associated with soul food, despite not originating in America or Africa. He calls the dish “Happiness and Hand-Me-Downs.”

them pizookies from bj's areI’ve only been to a bjs brewhouse once but their pizza and hot chicken sandwich were pretty damn good.
always see it on the Worth It youtube episodes... the most expensive food always has truffles, gold leaf, or bothI can’t say anything truffle is over-rated but I do get where you’re coming from. I feel like chefs use it as a crutch often.

I’ll need to check it out next time I have some time and am in the area. Sounds pretty solid.I’ve been to BJ’s a lot. Used to be one walking distance from my office and they have good lunch specials (including on beer). Of all the chain brew house places I’ve been too, I think BJ’s has the best food.
where you from?
If close I’d be down to slide through with da Balut. A whole case.

Yeah that’s the one I was referencing that took Macaroni Grill’s spot.Man I must be getting the wrong things when I go there because my experiences with the one in Columbia have been trash.
Bro I’ve literally been going through the same thing with salmon this past weekI made the classic mistake of convincing myself that I'm not a huge salmon fan after only having other people cook it for me. Decided to revisit it tonight by doing a no-flip version in the cast iron with a miso/hot honey glaze.
This is fire. Just reminds me of a more moist/tender/flavorful version of chicken breast. Definitely gonna be doing more fish recipes moving forward.
