Dressing Better Vol 2.0

anybody actually possess the skills to alter their own clothes? if so, did you simply start with a sewing machine and go from there and experiment?
A simple hem job would be the only thing I can do. Taking in the sides or adding darts would be the next simplest thing but I lack the patience to learn.

Maybe join a sewing class at a fabric store or JuCo? Seriously. They will probably teach you how to measure things and tricks.

Thank you and I apologize? I guess
Protein Bros sounds like a porn production company or some duechebag energy drink

I hope you spread that all over social media to get a true representation of the general public and just got NT. if Chipotle can brand fast Mexican food into hip and somewhat healthy popular chain then you can too. Just gotta pick the right cuisine that hasn't been exploited yet.

More or less. Grab a home sew-er, learn how to thread it, how to load the bobbin ect and just go slow. Press your seams and use pins.

It's not that hard honestly but its like a craft, getting a clean seam and finishing takes practice then its second nature :pimp:

Going to SF in mid-Oct kinda unexpectedly  My gf was just accepted to present her poster for pharmacy in SF and she wanted me to go with her. This will be my first time in CA and I'll be looking forward to the shopping. I'm definitely stopping at Alden to purchase a pair of Indy boots. Any of you Bay area heads have some recommendations for possible boutiques I can go to? I'll be staying in Union Square, so I know a lot of the retail stores are around there.

Why wait to buy Indy's in CA? Is there a specific store that will have a pair you want/sale going on?

SF tax rate is 9.5%. How much is it in Memphis?

There is only one store that carries a very limited selection of Alden's here and they never have the boots. I just didn't want to order them without getting true confirmation of my size in the boots. At least at the Alden store, I can try on however many pairs to get the right fit + maybe get a few additional pair. But, I could always try them on at the Alden store and order them once I get back to Memphis from my local shop.

The tax rate in Memphis is 9.25% :smh:

latest cop. zero taxes as per usual :smokin

Anybody ever bought a leather from all saints spitalfields?

Or denim for that matter?

I bought two pea coats from them 5 years ago. The first a button fell off after one-two wears, the second is still the best coat I own.

when I was on my hunt for a leather, I looked into All Saints. Everyone I spoke with advised that I avoid them at all costs. Apparently leather is inferior esp for their price point. Never handled myself but I'm quite glad I found a ToJ online.

My suggestion is looking at BLK DNM if you are hunting a double rider. grailed.com always has jackets for below retail. A friend of mine copped for like $420 shipped.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah they are pricey so if the quality sucks I'll stay away.

I am trying to re-up on these.

Can anyone provide leads on various styles and brands?

Thanks in advance!

Pinoy, those SLP chelsea are nice!! :smokin My Story Et Fall Chelsea boots (tan color) just arrived. quality is great and the packaging was superb...def some better presentation and materials than a lot of higher end designer footwear that I have purchased. I would def recommend. I can post pics if requested.
