Price range offers you a wide range. I copped these Meermins for around $200. At around $500-600, you can def go mid tier like Crockett and Jones bench grade, Carmina, Joseph Cheaney, etc.

Aldens are now highly overpriced. Reason why I sold all my pairs sans shells. Much better options across the pond from the aforementioned brands.

Never heard about the wood theory before. Not even sure how you would bend your shoes with pieces of wood on.
