Donald Trump is running for president

-He never said that. LINK

You basing you argument on something that is not true. He never called Republicans stupid. NEVER

-Trump was calling himself a Republican in the 1980s as well. LINK

-And racist are not rational. His remarks are costing him, and his business money. He wants to be president, no matter how much it is hurting his pockets. So yes, it is within the realm of possibility and billionaire CEO is racist.

-And not like this is something new for Trump. Look at his irrational hate for Obama. Look at him taking out newspaper adds calling for the black and latino dudes that were accused of murdering that jogger. And when they were proven innocent, he called him getting money from the city a disgrace. LINK

Not that they were falsely accused, not that he campaigned for the state to kill them. The fact they got money for their lives being ruined upset him

-Dude has a history to slick racist steez, he just put it into over drive because it is helping him in the polls. So his history also signals to me he holds racist views

-You may say racist things all the time, and not believe yourself to be a racist. But if someone catches you repeatedly saying stuff on the level of Trump words, and then believe you to be a racist, how crazy would that be? To me it won't be at all. If you don't want yourself to be labeled as something, don't do the thing that will earn you that label.

It would be like a student repeatedly caught looking on another students test, taking offense at someone call him a cheater.

Or a dude that routinely hits his wife, getting upset someone thinks he is a wife beater

-You can play the "you don't know for sure game", fine. But the evidence is not my side, not like I have to do mental gymnastics to reach my conclusions. If Donald Trump wants me to anyone else to stop thinking he is a racist, he should stop acting like a racist

I will not give him the benefit of the doubt before then. He has done nothing to show me he deserves it
if he never said that fine, im not hinging my argument on it. i didnt know it was false tho. my argument hinges on "my point is... i cant emphatically say "yup. dude hates _____ people."" and thats all. i have no proof. just the ludicrous things he says, but i feel hes playing a role and its the main reason i dont like/trust him. i dont say the foolishness trump does so i guess ur right. big difference between poking fun at races and going THAT far but then again, its a main reason i dont trust him. and u dont know for sure isn't a game man its life lol. innocent until proven. donald ROUTINELY put his foot in his mouth in the last 10 years. long before the presidential run. lets all not misconstrue i think the fact that he is running is a gag that has gone on for waaaay to long and the joke has been dead for quite a while. i personally just dont believe hes racist. i believe hes desperate. but not racist.

*shrug*

Can we both agree that he is a scumbag for his comments

And the perfect payback would him not only losing the nomination, but his empire crumble from folk not wanting to do business with him

Not only that, if he ever apologies, no one accepts. And he gets to live out his last years as a joke

Can we atleast agree that would be the most fitting outcome brah? :lol

i put it like this... that fool better not ever get into a position of power. becuz i DO believe he has no cultural intelligence. and i DO believe he thinks he can strongarm the rest of the world cuz 'merica.

but for the sake of argument, if he became president then implemented a racist policy or practice then yup! all aboard the "yet another racist" train

I don't think Trump's as terrible a racist as the Democrats and liberal media want everyone to perceive him to be because they want him to lose so bad.

I know he talked bad about Mexicans, but Mexicans are a nationality. It is a country made up of Whites, Natives, tiny portion of Asian and Black and some Middle Eastern. You can be a different race and be born in Mexico but at the end you'll be described as Mexican, (ic Japanese-Mexican). You can say Americans are fat, that's not racist. It's all Nationality.

I know he talked bad about Muslims, but Muslim/Islam is a religion, not a race and there are various Muslims of different ethnicities all over the world.

Islamic terrorists are attacking a hotel in Burkina Faso as we speak, 20 civilians killed so far. It's bad. As these terrorist attacks by these Muslim/Islamics pile up, and more Illegal immigrants get arrested for their crime, it only proves Trump right.

More thought process is necessary before we establish someone as a racist.

Don't forget about the fake, racist, inaccurate tweet he retweeted back in November. To be at the level he is at, with the voice that he has, retweeting something like that is not only agreeing with it and assuming that it is truth but trying to also spread and perpetuate the rhetoric that racists love to spout and that these "stats" depict

I know that ain't accurate, but I'll only believe it if it comes out of Trump's actual mouth in regards of actions if he was elected. Anyone can run anyones' social media account. That image seems like a random Google search image that was copied and saved. That doesn't completely signify someone is 100% racist. The image itself is wrong, but Black killed by Blacks seems high in the real world, higher or as close as than White on White, and it should not be that way, considering the demographic population percentage.

At the very least He's a bigot.

Considering the link between poverty and violent crime and the fact that blacks are disproportionately poor when considered to other races, blacks killing blacks at higher rates makes sense to me. But be aware that like race on like race violence is always higher than other types because people of the same race tend to live in close proximity to each other.

If you want to talk about why blacks are disproportionately poorer than other races, that's another story. But you've definitely been schooled on these topics before.

After reading your post and looking at the graphic, percentages can be misleading. Need the numbers themselves. 97% could be 97/100 and 1% could be 100/10000

This troll is back? :lol

Anywho, I'm not concerned about Trump anymore, he's destroying the Republican party and making their "base" look like the racist, assclowns that they are.

He has no chance of winning the general election against Clinton or Bernie. Our country is moving left, especially with the younger generation and the influx of minorities. What Republicans needed was a moderate who can draw from both sides, Trump is a rambling, bigoted, idiot who's drawing attention from the only demographic that has an increasing mortality rate.

frenchbreadbuilds frenchbreadbuilds Other non-blacks are poor but don't have the same crime rates. Although Polynesians commit more crime rates but their population is very very low. The thing about Trump, he says what's on his mind, no hiding, hence the support, there's no behind the scenes here like the Democrats and how they try hard to get votes yet don't keep their "promises". All these candidates are bigots. And no, you've never schooled me, last I checked, I countered you and you never responded. But that's besides the point, no need to take the topic to a different direction.

I'm just saying, there's no 100% proof that Trump is a racist and that term "racist" is being used to sabotage his candidacy.

:lol He's a presidential candidate!

The leader is responsible for all of his people. You can't just "say I can't fact check everything"

Like wtf? Even Bill O'Reilly was getting on him for that.

We expect at least feigned accountability especially in a world leader.

Will we ever get a true moderate candidate or are we gonna be forever doomed to Dems vs. Reps (both are terrible)?

Also, how will Hillary (our future president) help us in the impending recession in 2017?

That's false poor people commit crimes at similar rates across ALL races. Despite that blacks are far more likely to be arrested based on nothing factual. But urban neighborhoods continue to be over policed and profiled. Never said I schooled you, I'm saying YOU have been schooled multiple times by various members on these very same topics involving minorities and poverty when you post your rhetoric. But you're right no need to take this in that direction.

As for trump you can call it honesty, but many people, myself included, see as pandering to the worst side of America and using fear mongering to gain support.

Even if Trump is elected, he won't be "Powerful". We can petition and appeal his decisions. As long as he can focus and help the AMERICAN PEOPLE, and not open all our borders, perhaps a better background check for new immigrants, lower taxes, we should be good.

They say Democrats are building the economy, yet I just read Walmart is closing 100+ stores. Sears or Macys has done so too. It's all BS propaganda.

I'm voting third party either way, the candidacy of choices this year is not great.

That's actually more because big box retailers are doing terribly lately.

It seems like an oversaturation of Wal-Marts in Texas and the South.

Big box stores closing don't necessarily signal the economy is doing bad, more so the changing dynamics of shopping.

Huh?

Bill Clinton was a moderate, Carter was a moderate, Nixon was a moderate. Obama is a liberal that governs as a center left moderate. It is whean the conservative are in power things go really south.

And democrats are much nicer to GOP presidents, than the other way around.

What America needs are liberals firmly in control for an extended period of time. We haven't had that in a very long time.

And recession happen, the worst thing you can do in a ewcession is cut spending, especially in the short term

Austerity makes recession worst. That is what Republicans do in time of recession. Hillary won't do that, she will more than likely do the common democratic strategy of increasing short term spending, which is a smarter move.

Look at how well Obama handle the great recession. If there is another recession on the way, she will most likely employ the same game plan

I really hate whwn people just throw up their hands and declare both are terrible. They are so different, like how could that even be?

Here's what is important about this disconnect, wages have almost entirely decoupled from GDP and it has been that way since about 1975. When GDP increases, executive compensation and stock returns swell but wages do not grow accordingly.

When President Obama says that things are better than when he took office, he is right but most of those gains have gone to very few people. Meanwhile, workers are only marginally better off. The problem that the Republicans have is that they cannot really make this left wing argument. If they got serious about addressing stagnating wages, they would no longer be Republicans.

You are right that main street is not doing well, stores are closing, in part, because most people do not have the wages and job security that would create consumer demand and subsequently bring capital back to main street. The problem is that Republicans and many Democrats refuse to see this disconnect between wages and economic growth. A few of them will suggest that workers need to get tougher or work longer hours or take a computer class at the community college. Until we see major policy changes, which will bring wages in line with economic growth, we will see Presidents, from both parties, telling their wealthy friends in business and in Congress that the Economy is great all the while, the middle class continues its decline.

I see my dude rusty still going in on political threads :lol

As a black guy I have no issues with trump. I personally want to thank him for making my racial arguments easier. I don't think he believes 75% of the **** he says. He just tapped into the racist spirits of a lot of Caucasians for popularity

Why do people always deflect on the word racist. Like what if I said all Europeans are kanniving imperialist rapists, then it doesn't make me racist because apparently North Africa and the Middle East is also considered white. So am I continentalist? People try so hard to say things aren't racist in order to strip the connotations of racism away from it.

People who stereotype Mexicans are racist. Don't give me that nationality non-sense. As are those who stereotype Muslims.

"It's not racist because he's only talking about African-Americans. He didn't say all black people around the world, or the African/Caribbean immigrants/ninjahood."

Yeah, but I finding it very telling that democratic base is suggesting that social democracy may the answer to what ales the nation

While the republican base is suggesting more white supremacy is the answer.

Until America comes to the term with the fact that the era of shared prosperity ended because the time had finally come for African-Americans to be included. And because some couldn't come to terms with that fact, they then began indulging in decades of self destructive behavoir. Which brings us to our current state

Barrack Obama has tried time and time again to pass programs to lessens the problems you speak of. Even if the were not complete fixes, at times he pushed in the right direction. And many of the same people that are now pleading for help, slap away his suggestions under the assumption they were some sort of big government overreach.

Just look at what voters in Kentucky did. Yet election after election I gota hear conservatives to white progressives lecture me on how bad these people have it. And how everyone has failed them

When do I get a candidate that tells these people they are part of the problem. To tell these white supremacist to get over it.

I pray for that guy to come along, because no "real progressive" seems up to that task either

When I was reading Ta-Nehisi Coates' Between the World and Me, uses the word "democracy." It was surprising because among white people, you cannot call the US a democracy without blow back. Conservatives will point out that the Constitution makes us a Republic and that the Founders feared Democracy. Libertarians and civil libertarians will talk about the police and our drug laws and our brutal and venal criminal justice system as if they were imposed upon us by some foreign power. Progressives will remind you of the out sized role that money and elite special interests all play in turning out democracy into an Oligarchy.

Those facts may be true but I do believe that white progressives and civil libertarians talk themselves into blaming all of these exogenous forces. That is why Coates' decision to call US a democracy was so startling. I realized that from the black perspective, white people, as a voting bloc, ultimately do control their own destiny. The war on drugs, militarized police, neo liberalism, deindustrialization, the destruction of private sector unions, unaffordable Healthcare, unaffordable education, Wall Street's enormous power and the military industrial complex were ultimately the results of white popular will.

White liberals, we may rage against the machine but we treasure our white individualism just as much as militia men. A Berkeley feminist on her Tumblr may understand white privilege and imperialism and the ravages of the red lining but she still sees her self as the author of her own journey just as much as any rancher in Montana would. We scoff at the stupidity of Atlas Shrugged but we are still quite Randian when it comes to how we relate to the world. People of color tend to not be so naively individualistic. They know that their skin color and their zip codes and their parents' vocations have already decided much of their fate.

A liberal, progressive populist would be accurate in saying "you, you conservative white folks, who are not wealthy. You have engaged in white identity politics and in doing so, you have caused immense economic damage to poor people of all colors." However, our progressive would be more accurate and more of a leader in saying "we as members of the dominant white voting bloc, we have caused this mess we are in, we have devalued people, especially people of color, and it is us, who have, over decades of elections, allowed moneyed interests to wreak so much havoc."

For poor whites and liberal whites, these illiberal and plutocratic forces feel like they have been imposed by some foreign king but as far as black people see it, every white person is ultimately on the same team as the Koch Brothers. Even the poorest white person enjoys privileges and rights that black people do not have. Every white person is part of the voting bloc that truly runs the country.

Oligarchy is a very real problem as is the fact that so many white folks succumb to the siren call of white identity politics. However, my fellow white progressives are not helping when act as if our parents or grandparents or neighbors played no role in creating these very serious problems.

u gotta be trolling. there are so many things wrong in this post lol. u said we can petition and appeal his decisions? word? how has that worked out for any pres thus far? u gonna write a letter about his decision? he can hit that executive order and its a wrap. better background check for new immigrants? im sorry.... hearing u say this makes me feel like u believe some of what trump says is true. this new war on immigration is foolishness. and ur gauge of the status of the economy is how many storys walmart sears or macys closes? boy oh boy
