Pau isn't going to dribble up and shoot, no way. He's a set shot from that distance. Sucks, but that's what it is.

Yes there are ways to stagger the minutes... But at the same time, you're trying to create cohesion and chemistry... Which is tougher if you put them out there for less minutes together..

No.

The playoffs start tomorrow or something? Create cohesion and chemistry, for what? November? **** that. The cohesion and chemistry will come, we all get, and understand this. It will come. So I'm sorry, but I don't freaking need to see all 4 of our best players play 35 minutes a night all at the same time. That is ridiculously short sighted. And this is my point.

Brown has zero concept how to approach games.

We never win in Port, right? And this one is second of a back to back, right? And then, we have a 3rd game in 4 nights on Friday, right? He has a copy of the schedule ahead of time, does he not?

Ok, so then you approach the week. Tough to win in Port....hmmmm. Well then, let's go ALL IN against Dallas, get a home win, get a W, I'll even play guys 40 minutes if need be to get THAT game. Then, in Port, nobody plays 30. Punt. Game handed. What I will do, is work on subs, rotations, fits, let the bench kick the tires, basically treat it like a preseason game.

Then, day off Thur, game Friday, try to get to a normal set there, 35 and down for everyone, etc etc. Win lose, no matter by then.

Instead, he got murked by Dallas yet still played too many minutes.
Then played WAY too many minutes in a double digit loss again.

Now will get washed by the Clipps and Vinny freaking Del Negro of all people on Friday, and I suspect with high minutes as he starts pressing trying to get a win to appease us.

He has no plan. Phil did, Pop did, others do. Know when to push, know when to chill. Know your rotations WELL IN ADVANCE, not by the seat of your pants.

Why the **** does Meeks play game 1 but not Ebanks, and then the next night Ebanks is first off the bench and no Meeks til late in the game? In game 2 we see this already? Really?

2008 we went to the finals with Vlad Radmonovic, Luke Walton, Sasha, Farmar, Turiaf, Fisher, with Bynum and Ariza on the bench injured. Does that look like a squad to you? That a deep bench?
No, but Phil knew how to mix and match Pau, Kobe, and LO with the rest of those bums. And he got the most out of them. THAT'S COACHING.

We have 4 elite guys, 1-2 solid rotational types, and a couple meh guys. And Mike can't anything out of them. Again, does our cast of role players look tremendously worse than that 08 squad?

You can take bad players, meh players, and mesh them with your talented guys. Oh, Portland last night, who is on that team worth a damn? 3 nice pieces, LMA, Lilard, Batum, meh Wes and maybe a Hickson. The rest, garbage. Stuffing. Filler. Yet there they were, runnin crisp as could be on offense at least, and trying at least on D, even tho they suck, they don't have the talent, but they got more stops then we did, by far.

2 straight teams with far less talent, both beat us. And a few years ago, when we had less talent, we still made it to th Finals somehow.

There is something to that, and the players can't put themselves in the game. They also know BEFORE the game, when, how, and where they will get in, minus an injury, or a freak 2 quick fouls etc. Meeks, Ebanks, Hill played 9 minutes last night, they don't have any idea when they gonna play, what's their role, who they will play beside, NOTHING. It's minute by minute mix and match, well, let's play this 5, oh ok, here, you go in, no, ok, well, here, you 2, get back in.

Last night I saw Ebanks pulled out of the game. 12 seconds went by, he went back in. I tweeted it too I know some of you saw it as well. That is a coach guessing what he's doing. And by the way, they SAY, Brown is huge on preparation. Ummmmm, I would like a recount on that.

I told you the crappy Princeton offense is negating the whole purpose of having Steve Nash.

This team is going to lose the next 3 and will be 0-5 out the gate

Mike Brown is going to cost Kobe another year of his career

I never seen a team with this much talent struggling to put up 100 points. We're not intimidating anybody. As matter of fact we're giving them more confident to play us

Mike Brown is too nice of a guy to punish people or get in his player face for not hustling on defense

No way JJ Hickson out hustled DPOY Dwight Howard.

Mike Brown same old excuse is "it's a process" "we got to cut back on the turn overs"

I don't know why anyone is complaining about the offense last night. We scored over 100 points :rolleyes
The issue last night was clearly defense, hustle, and turnovers.

Co sign.

I watched the game at a friend's house who has Time Warner. What killed us was ZERO defense and getting out hustled for rebounds.I haven't looked up the stats but it sure as hell seemed like the Blazers hit close to 60% from the field last night.Which is nothing new up in the Rose Garden.Steve Blake use to do to us regularly when he was playing for the Blazers.

The news on Nash isn't looking good right now.I am listening to 710AM ESPN LA and John Ireland says when the team got back to LA at 3AM last night that Nash & Kobe were limping pretty bad.He said Nash is 50/50 but likely out for tomorrow night's game.

A lot of people in here like to roll their eyes about TFMB or anything negative about Mike Brown but I'd like for them to tell me what he's been successful at doing thus far.

I'm just not seeing anything born out of his mind that is working for this squad. Please enlighten me as to what Mike Brown has brought to the table.

Lakers looking :x out there...

Defense :x :x

I was dying when the Blazer's announcer said, "Uh oh, MWP is thinking, look out...he's going to shoot it any second,"

Then MWP proceeds to jack up a three

Get it together :smh:

Yo... chosen123, westcoast, L2B, whoever else I'm forgetting... I'm not liking what I'm seeing from ol' Mikey Mike.

Real talk.

 yeah i heard that too. something along the lines of "mwp is gonna shoot it once he gets confused and don't know what to do"

Steve Nash hurt now too? Damn, a guy who never gets hurt. Gets hurt. Reminds me of Malone. No panic, I know this team is a process and Eddie Jordan should lead us in this learning process.

I'm just saying man.Mike Brown is suppose to be known as a great defensive specialist coach and last night this Laker team gave up 60+ in the first half and 116 for the game.

:rolleyes

:smh::smh:

MWP has been trash on offense for the last 2 years

:nerd: I might be right there with you on that....I'm just not ready to give the players on this team a pass either tho

There is ZERO reason to ever have 1 guy on the court, and 3 on the bench. Stotts in his first game had that figured out with less talent. Look at the bigger picture.
2 games, both close at half, both double digit fails in the second half. Adjustments? Fatigue?
2 games, high minutes for injured/aging players in a back to back. Sustainable? This will suddenly change going forward?
Why does my head coach still have problems with rotations and minutes? Do other coaches, with faaaaaaaar less talent struggle with these things as well?

smh dont get my blood boiling again....

if we go 0-4 mike willbe gone...

smh cant wait til our new head coach loses his first couple of games. mike brown fans gonna be bashing the people that wanted his *** gone as if mike brown was magic johnson lol

I'm not either, I don't front he hasn't looked good.

The only thing that bothers me is that he takes the full blame for how bad we look. The players still gotta play. These are still VETERAN professional basketball players.

Yeah the coaching is not looking promising SO FAR, but neither has our defensive effort, our jump shooting, or our free throw shooting.
The coach can coach all he wants, but even Phil Jackson can't help you make your wide open shots...or your free throws.

The players gotta step it up too, so far EVERYONES to blame for being 0-2.

I'm on team keep Mike Brown. I like his style. His plan to get the #1 pick and come back next year 5 deep instead of 4 deep is masterful.

3 of the 4 are already locked in, Dwight gets more money with us then leaving, and we get the #1 pick, it's brilliant!!!

TKMB, CP Fan #1, get in line behind me ya'll.

Going to my first Laker game Friday. Anyone know what the policy on DSLR's are? I'm seeing mixed reports on whether they are or aren't allowed. Obviously I'm not gonna bring a telephoto but is a 40D with a 17-40mm allowed?

spot on up there CP1708.

Playing extended minutes in a game is not the best way to build chemistry. Chemistry builds over # of games not just minutes. Besides, it is the TEAM as a whole that needs chemistry and not only the starters, and to do that is to actually play the bench players with some of the starters in actual games. Thus the importance of having a good plan with the rotation so players know what is expected of them.

It depends on what security entrance you get. Some of then will let you through and some won't. If they ask if your lens is detachable just tell them no.

I was able to get my T3i and 250mm lens in for a game last year but have had 3-4 times where I had to go back and leave it in my car. If i switch back to my 55mm they will give me no flack.

not really sure but here's what I came up with

Are cameras allowed inside STAPLES Center?
Yes! Non-professional, non-flash, still photography is permitted at most events (disposable, digital, or 35mm cameras with no interchangeable or telephoto lens). Video and audio recording is prohibited. Please note that some shows will have a different camera policy. Please see the specific event page or contact contact Guest Services for further information.

...but who's that on your avatar? :nerd:
