I've seen Bruce Lee do "some" of the physical feats that add to his legend, so I won't question him as an athlete. But as someone who worked around cameras for a living and claimed to be the best in the world, to not have ANY footage of a real encounter is pretty suspect. Everything was a "demonstration." I mean even a quick sparring session would have helped.

- Lee's striking speed from three feet with his hands down by his side reached five hundredths of a second.[sup]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee#cite_note-59[/sup]
- Lee's combat movements were at times too fast to be captured on film at 24 frames per second, so many scenes were shot in 32 frame per second to put Lee in slow motion. Normally martial arts films are sped up.[sup]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee#cite_note-60[/sup][sup]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee#cite_note-62[/sup]
- In a speed demonstration, Lee could snatch a dime off a person's open palm before they could close it, and leave a penny behind.[sup]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee#cite_note-63[/sup]
- Lee would hold an elevated v-sit position for 30 minutes or longer.[sup]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee#cite_note-InterceptingFist-57[/sup]
- Lee could throw grains of rice up into the air and then catch them in mid-flight using chopsticks.[sup]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee#cite_note-WarmMarble-51[/sup]
- Lee could thrust his fingers through unopened cans of Coca-Cola. (This was when soft drinks cans were made of steel much thicker than today's aluminium cans).[sup]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee#cite_note-64[/sup]

- Lee could break wooden boards 6 inches (15 cm) thick.[sup]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee#cite_note-67[/sup]

Nah. Worse. People actually believe this non-sense. As if any of it matters in a fight too.Originally Posted by DoubleJs07

A lot of shaolin monks could do the stuff that Bruce Lee could do, or at least a lot of it.
The majority of what Bruce Lee is known for in terms of fighting today came from movies. MOVIES! You know, the opposite of reality. How can you compare that to a real pro fighter who rose through the ranks and beat every other PRO fighter that stood in the way?
