The biggest difference between the original and Snydercut

Wonder Woman is for Superman’s resurrection. So all the conflict from Whedon’s version isn’t there. She even says that it must be done.

Everything else is action - Definitely more graphic. More profanity. Superman brutally beats up Steppenwolf, with Aquaman stabbing him through his chest from behind and Wonder Woman decapitating him with his head rolling through the portal and his head rolling towards Darkseids feet.

Steppenwolf versus the Amazons was pretty dope and longer in length.

The Darkseid battle is from the past and has Zeus and Ares present along with a green lantern.

The Anti-Life equation happens to be on earth and after Steppenwolf is defeated and the mother boxes are destroyed, Darkseid says we’ll have to attack the old fashioned way. That’s the end of the conflict, followed by Bruce’s nightmare sequence. After he wakes up, Martian Manhunter pulls up on him at his crib to join up.

edit:

the big battle at the end of the original film is there but it’s different. Enough to notice, too. The scene where Cyborg is trying to disrupt the merged mother boxes is because they basically make a boom tube to New Apocalypse and you can see Darkseid ready to come through. Cyborg needs a jump from Flash the same way for the resurrection of Superman, but it’s hurt and isn’t healing fast enough to do it in time, leading to an explosion and everyone dying and nobody to stop Darkseid. So Flash heals and rewinds time to stop it from happening, getting to cyborg to give him a power boost.

Interesting.

It'd be a different take of DC tried building up to the Justice Society instead of the Justice League this go around.

Damn who did Snyder suck off at Variety to pen that?

Lmao, this is why I don’t take critics reviews serious at all. “Trumps Avengers” like bruhhhh c’mon now. 10 years of solid movies w/ an overall arc connecting storyline to a Grand Finale that is Infinity War & Endgame, definitely a reach.

WB/DC can’t even get their movies right let alone what direction they wanna go with their movies either. Anyways, someone definitely got paid for that review.

These people just need to do it on a scale of other Snyder movies

is it a sensible movie along with the over use of dark CGI and slow mo for some cool scenes like 300, in which he basically copied the graphic novel

or is it nonsensical like sucker punch or BVS

unless Nolan coming back to remake his 3rd Batman movie, talk over avengers needs to be slowed all the way down for a while

try just starting with a good movie, like the first ironman

that deathstroke screen grab

shazam was good.

will probably watch snydercut in 2 parts. 4 hours is too much.

I think DC should make their movies darker and keep them rated r. That could be their niche. Disney/Marvel has their formula and has perfected it while DC is still trying to find it. DC is trying to copy Marvel and catch up with them but they haven’t even found their style.

you don’t try to copy marvel with snyder at the head

their problem is they didn’t actually try to copy marvel and instead focused on trying to beat marvel to the punch

take things slow and legit build your characters.. it’s like with foxmen, they overly focused on wolverine and didnt legit build out other characters and Ryan Reynolds forced them on deadpool.. more was done with colossus in those 2 deadpool movies than however many actual X-men movies

so many of the main characters from the justice league they haven’t really explored or explored poorly.. hell the one movie that got overly championed WW, they literally take the director who just got moved off of Thor 2

And I fully expect James Gunn to do work with SS

but when called for, they should go dark or go with an R rating.. but the film has to call for it and not just do it because an R rating worked for deadpool or going dark worked for Nolan
