I agree with what you said regarding nothing justifying him being dead.
you seem like a level-headed individual so I genuinely ask:
if you had Black children would you advise them to behave as this young man did during this interaction?
again, what he did doesn't justify him being shot..i just literally want to know if you would condone behaving in that manner if that was your child.
when we do have children, they will be black and when the time comes of course I would tell them to put pride aside and simply do as they are told, however human nature and instincts come in to play, the narrative of what the cop feared will be highlighted, but what about what a young 21 year black man feared being cuffed by cops? Maybe his parents had the talk with him, but maybe his instincts had him react the way he did, regardless the cop is the one with the training, Daunte and this officer are not on the same playing field, the cop should have known better NOT the victim.
Same thing happened to Oscar Grant.
