Bachelor Pad.

Charlotte nighlife is pretty live.  Its not quite Atlanta, but it holds its own, especially during Summer and in the Fall when football starts up.

Man, nice seeing some Charlotte NTers. I just moved here from DC OG from Buffalo in June. I live in Steele Creek.

What I get for what I pay in Charlotte in comparison to DC is insane. I was paying 2K a month for 1 bed Apt. in Northern VA outside of DC and now live in a 2 story 4 bed with 2 car garage house for 1300. Feels Good Man.

Now that I know there are some NTers out here maybe I'll break out the NT Fitted lol

That's what's up you guys. Glad it's working out for you all. Hopefully things go smoothly over the next few months on my attempt to move :lol :hat

Really? Buddy of mine bounces back and forth and says it's terrible there compared to Seattle...

CLT is a different city than Seattle, no doubt. Charlotte is a bigger city, more spread out and it's landlocked vs being waterfront like Seattle (I have a fetish for waterfront cities like Boston and Seattle). All cities have their pluses and minuses. CLT is preppy & traditional and has wayyy too many high end clubs. When I was in Seattle 3 years back I realized that it's more laid back, artsy, more things for families to do in their downtown area, proper rail system. Other than catching a Hornets, Panthers or minor league hockey or baseball game, Uptown isn't really geared towards kids and families, more so for young professionals and older.

:lol @ calling charlotte a bust

City is cool...only reason I'm not living there now is cause my kid is in winston salem

What up fam. Yeah I'm out here still. Looking to rent a loft for my photography spot. Need that exposed brick and hardwood. What's new?

You can look at the Mattress Factory Lofts. They have studios there that is used for photography and art galleries.

I got some linen sheets from crate and barrel and they are amazing. Cool in the summer, they warm up well in the winter. The best part is they get softer the longer you have them. I'll probably get some more expensive linens next time around but for now these are great:

Sooooo I just moved into my first house & my walls are looking a little bare.

Do you guys have and ideas on where to get great art work? More modern / hip stuff.
I like framed things or canvas work.

Thanks in advance.

Paint. Then take your time and find art that matches your home. I hate modern art with traditional furniture. TJ Maxx, marshalls, and Ross have been good to me. I've so thrifted some really good art. Like Jonna White and Henri Matisse.

What are y'alls bed frames game like?

I'm looking to get one of those platform beds; mainly because I don't want dust and stuff accumulating under my bed.

Just installed this today. Got it on overstock for 230. Really cheap fake wood, but I'm im my early 20s and it'll last probably till I move to a house.

I like it cuz it's on the wall and I have a tempurpedic that goes up and down so it doesn't mess with the bed at all.

What do you guys think? First or second one?

Leaning towards the second one. I like the "graffiti" style of the first but think I might get tired of it down the line. FWIW its for my dining room converted to office nook. Or I might put it up in my bedroom and hang vinyls in the office.
