2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

@positiveaura There's a lot of stuff in that picture that don't have nicknames or anything like that, some of those aren't SBs though, but still dunks worth having.

Off the top of my head taking a quick look before I have to jump up and get ready for work I can see: Brazils, UNLV, St. John, Statue of Liberties, Feelgoods, UnHeaven's Gate, Sea Crystal Mids, Eiffel 65, a pair people were calling Mets back in 2010.

As far as a reasonable price on ALL of those at once? A lot of them aren't worth over box price but the ones that are like the Statue of Liberties will push the price up by hundreds at once, especially if they're DS. Is the seller willing to give you a package deal for buying everything at once? Also are there boxes available for everything? That would push the price down if there aren't.

If you offered 65 per pair you'd be looking at 2600. And 65 is overpaying for some, way underpaying for others.

We'll never recapture the essence of the earlier days of SB Dunks, probably never reach the levels of design consistently, and almost certainly not get back to the quality of those shoes. That's a given, you can only have one first, and one childhood, and whatever happened then will always be the best - even if it actually wasn't, your own nostalgia will compel you to think it was.

So, I judge Nike SB, and particularly SB Dunks against the other branches/models of the company that held/hold similar prestige, and not exclusively against their own past. I like a far greater amount of their new CWs than new make-ups of Jordan retros. The AF1 and AM95 are basically un-purchase-able to me because of shape and materials. The had a decent run of pretty good Foamposite releases going for a while a few years ago, but that's jumped the shark. Air Max isn't dazzling me. And, general Nike Retro has been inconsistent at best. So, comparatively, SB is among one of the better divisions in terms of product and price point almost by default. The new Bron, Kove, and KD sigs are okay, depending on how I'm feeling the design for that year, simply on the basis that their quality isn't toal basura.

I know we will never get back to that period of SB where it was crazy flamoyant and creative, but i think its evolved ot be a nice mix of good stylish and classy, and skater obtainable.

As far as other models, foams and jordans have turned into hypebeast bait, but im very pleased with alot of the newer models and ideas they have put into alot of thier newer models. This is where Nike shines the most. Jordan 28's, Lunar flyknit/chukkas, Lunar Tr1, AF1 autoclave, hyperposites, rosche runs/trails, solarsoft moccasin, janoskis, sky-hi dunks(for da ladies) engineered mesh, no-sew AM 95's, hyperfuse retros (am90s and am1 my fav), and Lebron 8/9/11. They have definitly stepped up their game in the engineering dept in recent years.

For the past few years i keep saying i'm going to get some select jordans an a few Sb's, but Nike throws a huge wrench in my plans with all these newer concepts and awesome ideas/materials.

Hacky sack came in from NDC, great material but i dont like the pattern in person lol

any1 else surprised the Hacky sacks got the half n half box treatment n not the SOMPs? i thought for sure the SOMPs would have it but then they arrived in a regular teal box n thought they were done with the half n half boxes

the aqua boxes are the current ones, no one seems to have cracked the code of what exactly goes in the half and half, some QS come in it while others don't.

Agreed but at this point I don't think there's any reasoning out there that explains how Nike decides what shoes go in which box. Example: Premier, YOTH, SOMP's all came in the teal box but BHM, Valentine's, 510's, hackysacks came in the half and half box.

Maybe Nike realized that they have higher materials in the shoes so they give the cheaper non-gloss teal box to cut down costs? Haha

sometimes they get routed to their bulk distribution center which is huge i'm guessing.  you have no way of tracking or getting in contact with them.  just have to wait.  had this happen recently sending pritority and receiving regular delivery.

but yea, it sucks when they mess up priority.

You can't file a claim until it has been 24hrs since it was "delivered".  I've had this happen with UPS twice, first time I think the driver marked it as delivered but didn't deliver it.  The next day, when I was getting ready to file a claim, the package mysteriously showed up at my doorstep!  The second time, it was a wrong address on the label that was created by the sender, numbers were backwards.  I called UPS and they had resolved the problem and delivered the next day.

Yesterday was the 6th time that UPS or USPS has left a pair of sneakers leaning against my door, ive called both of their customer service numbers and they could give a f-ck less. Oh well, at least I always get my package.

Just concerning to me cuz like I said the last thing it shows is leaving Denver at 330 Monday. I've always had good luck with updates and delivery times being the day of, sometimes day before. I'll wait till today and then call I guess and see what the deal is. Definitely sucks if they are missing, seller just had the standard insurance of 50, when the total was 90, but not much I can do I guess
