Bro EXACTLY. I just had to talk about this for an hour today. America loves to turn it's nose up at public transportation. Can’t ever trust America with public transportation, no matter how good they make it sound
Folks still gon drive and be pissed around there
i wouldnt say trash but why is he gangster rapping bro you make millions whyyyyyyyyy
I think his rep coming into the draft was as a point forward, but he hasn't had the opportunity with Beal, Westbrook, Dinwiddie his first couple of years. But yeah, he's real good defensively. Just not a good shooter.
Just want to say, privatizing public transportation is a horrible idea. Just think about the idea for a few minutes and I can already see how many bad incentives it will create.Bro EXACTLY. I just had to talk about this for an hour today. America loves to turn it's nose up at public transportation.
One day it will become privatized like it should be. Uber will solve this.
I was talking about trains/buses. An Uber train system > NYC MTAJust want to say, privatizing public transportation is a horrible idea. Just think about the idea for a few minutes and I can already see how many bad incentives it will create.
And the only way it would work is with tons of public subsidies, and it would make things worst for poor people. Poor people can't just catch Uber's everywhere. Rate increases will be even more prevalent.
The reason public transportation sucks is because the car and oil lobby spent billions making it that way. Privatizing it is not a panacea. It will probably make things worse.
I took the Metro train from Culver City to DTLA once a few years ago because my car was in the shop. I was good on it after that.IDK about yall but I'm never taking a ****ing bus or train into DTLA...
Hell nah
I live in the Southwest where public transportation is nowhere as good as the Northeast.
Everytime a new public transportation project is proposed people get excited for it.
Then the Koch brothers, taxi lobby, car lobby, and ride share lobby all come in to fund a negative add campaign against it.
This story been going on in Vegas forever.
Everyone including the casino out here would like the monorail to go from the airport to the strip. Everyone would compromise and take an express bus.
But every time there is any movement on it the negative add campaign comes. Americans turn their nose up to public transportation because they have trained to do so. And billions have been invested to make it unappealing. That is before you take into account NIMBYs sabotaging it too.
When I moved to MD in 1999, I remember people taking about the Purple line, and how it was gonna solve all these issues for commuters. It would have definitely came in handy for me when I lived in the area.
2022 and I heard that **** isn't even open yet
