Dame has to scream loyalty because it’s his excuse for why he’s not winning championships (ie he has no help). There are no expectations for Beal so he can stay put and collect his bags in peace without having to explain why he is ringless or hasn’t led his team to the Finals.

You can change teams and win without being a bus rider/running from the grind (see: Kawhi in Toronto). You can also stay loyal and win without necessarily being about the bag (see: Dirk and Steph).

Chasing that ring in his 30s isn’t going to go well. Especially because I think he has a 15% trade kicker. Not sure how the trade kicker factors into your salary cap but imagine having Beal on 60 mil a year

Only way I’d trade for Beal on this contract is if I didn’t have to give up any assets and Washington were salary dumping him
