How prepared is your college football team to replace its 2015 first-round pick?

Sending players to the pros is great for exposure and recruiting. There's just one problem: you've got to restock.

With nothing better to argue about in April and May, college football fans debate NFL Draft results. This year, Florida State, Miami, Louisville, and the SEC walk away with bragging rights of totally unclear value.

But while everyone wants their players to succeed at the next level, it's even more fun keeping your best players at this level for another year. Ohio State fans surely agree. Notre Dame, Tennessee and UCLA likewise. A relatively quiet draft weekend can mean good things for your upcoming season.

For those schools who did get their names listed during the draft's opening night, the immediate issue is replacing a player judged by professionals to be one of the country's best. How set is your school to keep the chains moving?

Here's a look at the 32 anticipated and potential replacements, sorted by an educated guesstimate of expectations. What do you think?

Ceiling even higher? We'll see.

10. Todd Gurley, RB
College team: Georgia
NFL team: Rams
Next man up: You know this guy. Heisman contender Nick Chubb piled up 1,547 rushing yards and did things like this:

11. Trae Waynes, CB
College team: Michigan State
NFL team: Vikings
Next man up: Darian Hicks, Vayante Copeland, Arjen Colquhoun or Jermaine Edmondson, all of whom were higher-rated recruits than MSU's other recent star CBs. Hicks briefly held a starting job and has 30 tackles with two interceptions. Copeland redshirted last season, while Colquhoun (17 tackles, two pass deflections) and Edmondson (14 tackles) have seen spot time.

15. Melvin Gordon, RB
College team: Wisconsin
NFL team: Chargers
Next man up: Corey Clement managed to tally 949 yards and nine touchdowns in 2014 despite playing behind one of the nation's most prolific running backs.

Is Corey Clement the next great Wisconsin running back? http://t.co/LsxDXvFg1G via @B5Q
17. Arik Armstead, DE
College team: Oregon
NFL team: 49ers
Next man up: Either true freshman five-star Canton Kaumatule or Tui Talia. Senior Talia (18 tackles, 0.5 sacks in 2014) brings more experience. But there's no question the 6'7 Kaumatule, Hawaii's highest-ever recruit not named Manti Te'o, is the long-term hope.

20. Nelson Agholor, WR
College team: USC
NFL team: Eagles
Next man up: JuJu Smith, Darreus Rogers or Adoree' Jackson. Smith (54 catches, 724 yards) and Jackson (10 catches, 138) are former elite recruits who played offense and defense in 2014. Rogers, a junior, is the most experienced. Oh, here's Jackson cutting a flip after running 98 yards:

24. D.J. Humphries, OT
College team: Florida
NFL team: Cardinals
Next man up: It's possible No. 1 national offensive line recruit Martez Ivey could be an instant star, especially after choosing the Gators in part due to playing time. But it's more likely David Sharpe gets the start at left tackle after playing as a freshman in 2014 and holding the job this spring.

32. Malcom Brown, DT
College team: Texas
NFL team: Patriots
Next man up: Hassan Ridgeway stepped in at nose tackle after an injury to Desmond Jackson, and he finished second on the team with six sacks and added 9.5 tackles for loss. With improved conditioning and aggression, he could terrorize.

Expect a setback, but not much of one.

3. Dante Fowler Jr., DE
College team: Florida
NFL team: Jaguars
Next man up: Fowler's backup, 6'6 former three-star Alex McCalister, is the clear choice to take over as the weak-side pass rusher. As a sophomore, McCalister recorded eight tackles for loss and six sacks. His biggest advocate? Dante Fowler Jr.

4. Amari Cooper, WR
College team: Alabama
NFL team: Raiders
Next man up: Probably Robert Foster. The Tide's X position looked to be between the 6'4 Cam Sims and 6'3 Foster heading into spring, but Sims tore his ACL in March. That leaves spring game star Foster as the favorite.

7. Kevin White, WR
College team: West Virginia
NFL team: Bears
Next man up: Daikiel Shorts, Jordan Thompson, K.J. Myers or Shelton Gibson. Shorts and Thompson have the best career stats, catching 69 passes for 841 yards and 85 for 861, respectively. Former four-star Gibson caught 13 passes for 250 yards as a freshman.

8. Vic Beasley, OLB
College team: Clemson
NFL team: Falcons
Next man up: Former four-star Shaq Lawson racked up 21.5 tackles for loss in his first two seasons. He was on the field about a third of the time for Clemson's 2014 front, arguably the country's best.

9. Ereck Flowers, OT
College team: Miami
NFL team: Giants
Next man up: Trevor Darling, the former four-star who was the first-string left tackle in spring and impressed on the field last year.

12. Danny Shelton, DT
College team: Washington
NFL team: Browns
Next man up: Elijah Qualls was Shelton's primary backup, recording 13 tackles with two for a loss. The "astounding athlete" is only 305 pounds, 34 fewer than Shelton.

13. Andrus Peat, OT
College team: Stanford
NFL team: Saints
Next man up: A five-star prospect out of San Clemente (Calif.) High School, Kyle Murphy has played in 40 games, starting all 13 at right tackle last season. He moved to the left side this spring.

14. DeVante Parker, WR
College team: Louisville
NFL team: Dolphins
Next man up: James Quick is the sole known quantity, finishing 2014 with 36 receptions, 566 yards and three touchdowns. On the other side? Jamari Staples caught 40 passes for 648 yards and five touchdowns in two years with UAB. Ja'Quay Williams, a former four-star, caught four passes for 71 yards at Texas A&M in 2013.

18. Marcus Peters, CB
College team: Washington
NFL team: Chiefs
Next man up: Finding the replacement is easy ... the Huskies did it already. Peters was dismissed last season, making way for then-freshman Naijiel Hale. The four-star son of late singer Nate Dogg is more grit than flash.

21. Cedric Ogbuehi, OT
College team: Texas A&M
NFL team: Bengals
Next man up: Avery Gennesy or Germain Ifedi figure to be the starters at tackle, but sides have not been decided yet. Gennesy is a former four-star who redshirted last season, while Ifedi has started 23 games.

23. Shane Ray, DE
College team: Missouri
NFL team: Broncos
Next man up: Charles Harris and Marcus Loud won the starting end jobs at D Line ZOU this spring after combining for 33 tackles (five for loss) as rookies. If Harris' production can match his physique, expect NFL buzz.

27. Byron Jones, CB
College team: UConn
NFL team: Cowboys
Next man up: After starting five games as a redshirt freshman and every game as a sophomore, Jhavon Williams will step into the No. 1 role.

28. Laken Tomlinson, OG
College team: Duke
Next man up:Lions
Next man up: After two years as a reserve, Lucas Patrick won the starting left spot before 2014. After a successful year, he's moved right.

29. Phillip Dorsett, WR
College team: Miami
NFL team: Colts
Next man up: Four-star Stacy Coley had seven touchdowns as a freshman and zero as a sophomore. But remember this?

ucatch2_medium.0.gif

30. Damarious Randall, S
College team: Arizona State
NFL team: Packers
Next man up: After losing out to Jordan Simone for a starting job, James Johnson had 25 tackles as a reserve.

31. Stephone Anthony, ILB
College team: Clemson
NFL team: Saints
Next man up: Ben Boulware or B.J. Goodson, both plenty experienced overall. Boulware has spent most of his time on the outside, recording 61 tackles (6.5 for loss) in two seasons. The senior Goodson has more experience inside, but has just 29 tackles in three seasons.

Legit concerns

1. Jameis Winston, QB
College team: Florida State
NFL team: Buccaneers
Next man up: When Winston was suspended for the Clemson game last year, Sean Maguire completed 21 of 39 passes for 304 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in an overtime win. He's no game manager; expect big gambles. (And after Winston, FSU has 10 other draftees to replace.)

2. Marcus Mariota, QB
College team: Oregon
NFL team: Titans
Next man up: Vernon Adams or Jeff Lockie. The 6'0 Adams was a dynamic player at FCS Eastern Washington, averaging 443 yards passing in games against Oregon rivals Oregon State and Washington. He won't join the team until weeks before Oregon's opener against ... Eastern Washington. Redshirt junior Lockie, Mariota's 6'2 former backup, already has Pac-12 experience.

6. Leonard Williams, DT
College team: USC
NFL team: Jets
Next man up: Claude Pelon or Delvon Simmons, recent transfers who nearly match Williams' 6'5, 302-pound frame. Former JUCO Pelon managed 2.5 sacks and six sacks in his first season, while one-time Texas Tech Red Raider Simmons recorded 44 tackles with 2.5 for a loss.

19. Cameron Erving, C
College team: Florida State
NFL team: Browns
Next man up: Alec Eberle, Ryan Hoefeld, or a potential transfer. The current pair split time during spring practices, with Hoefeld taking the majority of snaps until needing meniscus surgery.

22. Bud Dupree, OLB
College team: Kentucky
NFL team: Steelers
Next man up: Who knows? Junior Jason Hatcher has 8.5 career tackles for a loss, and redshirt freshman Denzil Ware is a former four-star who should also be on the forefront. Junior college transfers Alvonte Bell and Courtney Miggins should be in the mix.

25. Shaq Thompson, OLB
College team: Washington
NFL team: Panthers
Next man up: Group effort? Thompson's backup, Keishawn Bierria, started four games, recording 35 tackles as a freshman. Travis Feeney or Cory Littleton could move in from the outside to help -- Feeney has 128 tackles (15.5 for a loss) in three seasons, while Littleton has 113 career tackles (15 for a loss).

SEEMS LIKE TROUBLE

5. Brandon Scherff, OT
College team: Iowa
NFL team: Washington
Next man up: The 6'5, 300-pound Boone Myers is a walk-on Iowa native. He saw action in only a few games as a redshirt freshman, but will start at left tackle.

16. Kevin Johnson, CB
College team: Wake Forest
NFL team: Texans
Next man up: Wake Forest loses 80 career starts at corner without Johnson and co-starter Bud Noel. Brad Watson played mostly as a special teamer and reserve corner in his first two seasons, and has recorded 26 tackles with four pass deflections. Bad news: he was hurt in spring.

26. Breshad Perriman, WR
College team: UCF
NFL team: Ravens
Next man up: Jordan Akins, a former pro baseball player, caught 12 passes for 135 yards as a true freshman. Taylor Oldham played in 12 games, catching three passes for 35 yards. And Tre'Quan Smith was named UCF's Scout Team Player of the Year last season.

vols finish no worse than 2 ms in the east.

Defensive talent is almost back to early 2000s.

dLine Is special and will take over games

Nobody from Tennessee was drafted so I'm guessing they brought back a lot of talent. D-Line is indeed looking very impressive with a lot of young talent, I can def see them making a nice run in the East this year. They only have 2 RBs to my knowledge on scholarship tho and both are injury prone. If they can stay healthy, Vols gonna be pretty good

They're shopping around because the Adidas contract is running out.

They met with Under Armor a few weeks ago.

I guess they're at Nike hq this week.
