After sleeping on it, I don't feel that bad about the Bama game. I really like the way our guys fought in the second half. I could just be a homer with my rose-colored glasses on but I think we'll be okay and I still think we are in a good position to achieve all of our goals.

We played a top five team on the road, we lost the turnover battle 5-to-1 (fumble, safety and three interceptions), we played like absolute dog crap for 2 and 1/2 quarters and we were still 20 yards away from taking the game to OT.
Do we have some things to fix? Of course but sorry if I don't think the sky is falling.

Before the season we all looked at our schedule and saw that we were likely playing five top-15 teams (Clemson, @Bama, @Texas, @ Ole Miss and Tennessee). Did anyone think we were going to have an undefeated regular season?

The most likely outcome was splitting the Texas and Alabama games and that is still a real possibility. We are right where we need to be and all of our goals are ahead of us.

Your offense is not good. Doesn't mean you won't fix it, but if we're being 100% honest, today, it's bad. That needs to get sorted out. No reason Kentucky should be holding you under 2 TDs.

I get it but I think he’s being misguided here.

Really bad legal advice on top of it.

Why would the school be responsible?

The NCAA is the one who brought the case. Sue them.

Yeah, I'm not sure what legal ground Reggie has to suit USC. He could 100% be in the right but is it worth damaging any type of relationship you can have with the university when you've been trying to build it back up for the last 20 years? That's for Reggie to decide.

If he's suing them I doubt he will have the opportunity to lead the team out of the tunnel or be involved with the program going forward.

Trent dilfer put his foot in his mouth. He's basically telling you would be fans "this isn't that big of a job and your program isn't a big deal LOL relax. This isn't Alabama or anything"

I think we know this is true but as the head coach you can't act like this publicly.

Then to make it worse He doubles down on it. The reporter gave him every opportunity to provide context and gave him a lot of grace and he still messed it up.

Dilfer was brought to UAB for attention good or bad so they getting exactly what they asked for

Does Reggie ever just chill out? Dudes got some new legal battle or drama every other week

It’s more so that he gets bad advice and follows it.

He has a right to be mad at usc because Pat Haden and the previous administration in an effort to ingratiate themselves with the NCAA (and kill the stranglehold football had on all university decisions) threw him under the bus and unintentionally (intentionally?) made it easier for the rest of the PAC, OU, Texas, ND, and the NCAA to railroad Reggie and SC football. It unquestionably cost him tens of millions of dollars of earning potential and made his legal fight tougher until Todd McNair won his case. So Reggie has a bit of a point.

But right now, this year, after THIS new current administration fought to restore your Heisman, to lift the bs disassociation The ncaa had, and to restore your records, you’re going to sue them? If the case moves forward they’re going to get into discovery and who knew what. I’m guessing he’s banking on the school not wanting that so they’ll settle. Still, there’s a very real possibility of Reggie putting himself in a position where former staff and players are testifying to what they saw, and he’s testifying to what the school knew he and his teammates were doing. You can’t plead the 5th in a civil trial.

Similar to what Sark’s losing wrongful termination suit did, this could end with him not being welcomed back.

Gotta give the new PAC commissioner some props, she was put in a lose/lose situation and is turning it around

Doesn’t know when to cash out and leave the casino. Got his heisman back and had the opp to lead the team out. All that said, SC may say **** it and pay cause that relationship could generate more opportunities. And no one feels sorry for the deep pocketed company/institution/organization in these cases.

*like the heisman house commercial where they explain his absence by saying he was just in the cryo room

Nice add….

Think the new PAC still needs another school or two to fill out the football schedule. Gonzaga is great for the hoops side though.
