^^^ Nice to see the players from my team hanging out together. Create that chemistry fellas (even though there's a good chance only one of the people in that picture will be back next season).

When you're up there as the greatest coach of all time I would hope Phil is capable of doing those things. I never said he couldnt and thats not what im arguing. Again, do we go into the hypotheticals? Could Phil win a championship with Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, sitting on the bench the majority of the game and just let those guys you listed play perhaps some of the greatest team basketball the world has ever seen? Maybe, probably not, but it doesnt really matter. You can have Phil #1 and thats fine, I would be crazy to think you are absurd for thinking that. But the fact that you're coming at me like im 100% wrong about Pop and you are 100% right about Phil is why I think Phil is overrated, which is what I am arguing. Unless you dont think im crazy, and this is just your way of having a good ol's discussion about orange ball.

We can't play the If Games... We can only go on what happened... If Melo would have Traded with Bron in 2011 maybe he has rings... If Kobe goes to the Hornets maybe he doesnt... If If If doesn't matter in the real world.

Their is no proof that Pop would be able to groom a young Kobe who was a headache into one of the best players of all time, Their is no telling if he could divide time & plays for a Prime Shaq & Kobe and keep their egos in control. Theirs no telling if he could have had the same success with the different role players switching.

This is why I don't like social media sometimes

People start low key snatching

If they want to smoke a joint, let them smoke, they are adults and there's no children around

Phil really didn't control it

Kobe still did what ***** he wanted to do

there goes half the toughness of the clippers

Jordan was winning NBA MVPs, NBA Defensive Player of the Year, scoring titles before Phil got there

Shaq was being named to All NBA teams, finishing 2nd in the MVP race, winning scoring titles, and got to a NBA Finals when he beat Phil and MJ on route to

So basically they were dominant

Its like Lebron wasnt anything before he met Spolestra because he didnt win a title before

Disingenuous :{

Bruh you naming all individual accomplishments though. Of course those guys were all still great players, they are all time talents. Taking those talents and winning 11 rings is a whole different animal. Phil was a master man, 11 ******* rings is absolutely undeniable IDC who the players are. There's a reason all those players have a combined 1 measly ring without the zenmaster as their coach.

Even though you are agreeing with me I have a hunch you are trying to disagree with me.

The easier route is thru the east.

The heat are beatable.

The issue is the pacers decided to fall apart at the worst time and Roy Hibbert player like garbage.

The heat have been averaging 100 games a season more or less not to mention other stuff.

The only teams to beat the Heat have had elite coaching and teamwork unlike anyone's seen since the 04 Pistons.

might get easier

another year older for the big three, another 10 lbs on wades knees, and a lack of what will probably be a solid roster will make it harder for them to beat younger teams

To tell you the truth NO i'm not trying to agree with you. I'm saying that the logic of If in sports isn't something to be depended on. We could sit here and come up with Hypotheticals all day and ponder about something nobody will have the answers too. Or we can look at facts and how things have went down Pop is a great coach Phil however trupms him in every category, including head to head matchups in their superstars Primes. Phil led his team to more victories, more wins, more success you can't argue simple facts.

We will never know how Pop would have faired with a MJ or a Kobe and we won't EVER so no need to discuss it.

No Melo or Lowry, and I'm all for riding out another year with one-year deals.. Take mega cap room into next year and try again.

Only way to win in this league is with stars. We aren't going to be bad enough to draft one, so we've gotta keep digging into the FA pool. Eventually we'll get one.

The only thing to me is, if we do get Melo this year, Tyson expires after this year, and won't demand 15 million a year again. I'd rather get Tyson+Melo this year, and try to swing for the fences again next year too when his deal will be up. Rather than waste another year of Dirk playing in his twilight.

Miami lost three games en route to the Finals this year.. :lol

The East has been a cakewalk.

And how tough were Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in 2012? The answer is not very.

Coaching is key in the Finals/Playoffs. Talent gets you there, but coaching gets you to the promised land.

The best coaches in the East are Vogel and Thibs. The best coaching in the NBA right now are all in the West IMO. Doc, Carlisle, and Pop.
