I'm "meh" on that Ben Edwards film.

Good, not great athleticism.

I love the violence, but his technique is super sloppy and undisciplined.
his teamate deontai williams they say is better than him

theres a video somewhere of dontye carriere-williams putting the clamps on sam bruce

dre can probably tell you about derwin james

tarvaris mcfadden i havent seen enough but he's filthy on special teams

jaquan johnson was going toe to toe with ermon lane in some 7 on 7 tryouts

its real this year ...lot of hybrid 6'3'' box safety's/linebackers too with raw potential

More boring 2014 USC signing day reflection:
Apparently Juju almost considered Oregon because they convinced him USC was so deep at safety (and he wants to play both ways) that he'd never ever see the field on defense behind Josh Shaw, Sua Cravens, and Leon McQuay.

It came down to him deciding he could contribute on offense right away and develop his body to make the jump to safety down the line (because that's what he'll end up playing in the pros.)

Also it's clear Adoree had been sold on USC for a couple of months but didn't want to go there until Orgeron took over.  He had a great relationship with Tee Martin and Marqise and the Serra boys.  The only thing holding him back was he didn't have a relationship with Lane Kiffin and didn't like where the program was to start the year under him.

Sarkisian didn't really have much to do with it other than to reassure him they had a good plan for him on offense and that things would be stable, but it was all Tee, Marqise, and his familiarity with the program and team.  Also apparently his dad WAS pushing him to Tennessee but once that was eliminated it really was he's gonna go where he's gonna go without outside interference.

Only people in the secondary that are definitely starting IMO are Sua and Shaw. Where all the other guys fit depends on what Shaw plays (CB or back to Safety?)

Ridley no longer a Miami lean, its early tho

They just want to make things look interesting, man. They were going to announce to Miami two weeks ago.
