I wouldn't call it being passive, the defense just isn't letting him get the ball where he wants so he's taken out of the game. LeBron obviously gets a lot of his points at the rim and when he's not getting there he has to rely on his jumper, which is improved but not consistent like KD or Melo. You can only do so much when you're getting very little support from your teammates.
KD imo was passive vs San Antonio. He just stood in the corner and didn't even try to get open in the closing minutes. Russ had to carry the team and go iso vs 4 other guys.
