Wrestling Thread Mar 11-24 | 3/18 RAW - HHH Responds to Brock | Punk Still Has Taker's Urn

This may go over some heads, not that it's particularly clever.

This was back when Paul Bearer managed Jesse.

Boy ya'll are on it today

- There have been discussions about turning Kofi Kingston heel with the idea that he’s talented but has been booked in a way where they will never be able to get him over as a babyface without a heel turn and push first.

- A new change in WWE developmental is to give the talents bullet points instead of scripts and teaching them to do promos like they used to be done.

- I agree with this at this point. Unless he teams back with Truth for another tag title run, he's really stuck in limbo. He has good mic skills and charisma (based on his Orton feud), good moveset, and the crowd loves him, but I think even they realize Kofi will continue to spin in circles unless he has a big change.

- So you mean to tell me this isn't obvious??? Again, monkeys run the WWE.

Some NXT spoilers for the month of April.

Dark Match: Sammy Sane :smh: (formerly El Generico) b. Briley Pierce in a quick match. The crowd was chanting “Olé” all throughout.

Episode 1; Airing March 27th:
* Brad Maddox and Kassius Ohno are on commentary in place of William Regal.
* Bo Dallas and NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville b. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper when Bo hit a belly-to-belly suplex on Harper. Bray Wyatt tried to interfere but was taken out along with Rowan by Neville.
* William Regal attacked Kassius Ohno at the announce table. Dawson and Maddox talked about it once the ring crew fixed the damage.
* Paige and Sasha Banks b. Audrey Marie and Summer Rae when Paige hit the Paige Turner on Audrey after Summer left. After the match, Paige immediately went to the back to go after Summer.
* NXT Champion Big E Langston b. “The Ascension” Conor O’Brian with the Big Ending to retain. After the match, Big E hit yet another Big Ending for good measure and did the 5 count. Big E went to do another, but the time keeper told him to wrap it up, so Langston simply left to close the show. Kyle says he boo’d the guy, who in return did the DX cross-chop.

Episode 2; Airing April 3rd:
* Kendall Skye takes over for Byron Saxton as the ring announcer, while Tom Phillips takes over for Tony Dawson on commentary.
* The Shield b. Axl Keegan, Percy Watson and Scott Dawson in a quick match. After the match, Shield triple powerbombed Dawson before saying that justice has been served yet again. Shield say they will forever run NXT. Corey Graves interrupts on the titantron and challenges any member to a match next week. Rollins accepts and tells Graves he has no idea what he’s getting himself into.
* The Bella Twins b. Cameron and Naomi with a new combo finisher on Cameron.
* William Regal b. Kassius Ohno with the knee trembler to close the show.
Off-Air: Byron Saxton is about to announce major news for the next tapings on May 2nd when a pre-taped John Cena video airs announcing he will be the guest.

Episode 3; Airing April 10th:
* The show kicked off with an announcement that this is a special “Clash of the Champions” episode where every title is on the line.
* WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro b. NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville with the Neutralizer to retain. Kyle calls it the best match he’s seen on NXT, “unreal”.
* WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn b. AJ Lee with a spear to retain.
* NXT Champion Big E Langston b. Brad Maddox with the Big Ending to retain. After the match, Langston delivered a couple more Big Endings to Maddox.
* WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett b. Bo Dallas with the Bullhammer to retain. Crowd was pro Barrett, chanting “Let’s Go Barrett” and “No More Bo”.
Episode 4; Airing April 17th:
* The show kicked off with the announcement that the main event between Corey Graves and Seth Rollins will be a Lumberjack match.
* Leo Kruger b. Justin Gabriel with a modified armbar.
* Emma b. Bayley via submission. Kyle says the crowd is as hot for her as they are with Paige.
* Bray Wyatt b. Yoshi Tatsu in a squash match. After the match, Bray cut a pretty impressive promo.
* Corey Graves vs. Seth Rollins in a Lumberjack match is in progress.

I am lost. I thought that once someone is "called up" to the WWE they no longer wrestle in NXT. Like why is Regal wrestling there? And Caesaro?

And what channel does this come on?

NXT doesn't come on a regular channel (anymore). I've only seen some highlights, but I always read the reports. It's also taped anywhere from 1-3 months in advance, which is why Biggie Langston is a face on NXT, but heel on WWE tv, and Seth Rollins is finally in his Shield attire and heel. Regal wrestles there cause he may also be a trainer there, plus a commentator. Other wrestlers already on the main roster wrestle on there just cause...well, i don't know  A lot of the lower card guys (Kidd, Camacho, Usos, etc) wrestle there, which I think is a good thing for them.

People have been going back down for random appearances on NXT/FCW for a while now.

The storylines never carry over to the main programming though. :frown:

Luke Perry, now there's a name I thought I'd never see in a wrestling thread

I feel like if it wasn't for this weekly thread, my wrestling watching habits would be exactly like what they described at the end of the video. Don't follow most of the time, but for the big shows and such, I'd come right in and be able to enjoy it.

Since NXT is based out of Florida and most WWE talent live around there, they probably appear there since it's close.

NXT only comes on in many different countries besides U.S as far as T.V goes, but you can see it on Hulu Plus.

NXT can only be seen on Hulu+.  Random clips and episodes can be found on Youtube and Dailymotion before they get taken down by WWE.  I'm not 100% sure WWE even wants us to know it exists.
