Wrong as usual. Fandango was treated as just another midcard guy by the normal WWE fans that were in Boston for the Smackdown tapings.Imagine his merchandise is the top selling by the end of April
A few fans tried to get the crowd to sing his music, but it never caught on.
That is freaking awesome. Like I've said before, I find Brock fascinating. I hope he's willing to be sociable (to as much as Brock Lesnar can be sociable). I know he HATES doing media, so I hope this isn't something he was forced into and gives you and your Godson a crappy experience. I'd want to know about his diet, training routines, leaving WWE the first time. The decision to go to UFC. Living in the middle of nowhere. So much. Can't wait to hear your report on it.

I'm excited about it, we are trying to coordinate his next appearance. I'll let the thread know and ask for some questions to ask him and I'll have some videos/photos.

Not trying to step into the middle of your argument but It was way more than a few. at least half the crowd was singing and dancing during the postmatch fight. If that happened in a crowd that had as many kids and parents as I have ever seen at a wrestling event, you can be sure it's going to be a "thing" going forward. No doubt it will happen on Raw again, Smackdown tapings will be hit or miss.
I expected the chants throughout the show to die down. It's hard for a casual fan crowd to get such a chant like that to synchronize without the music behind it helping them out, but when his music hits at the end of the show, they were still singing along with it from what I read and saw. I feel like it'll take on a life similar to the 'you suck' chant that Kurt Angles theme got rather than how the Yes chant carried over to everywhere else on the show.
Smackdown means little to me in terms of crowd interaction though. The next Raw is the real test to see if the chant still has life.
My opinion is that they can't get guys over because of over exposure. They have so many hours of TV to fill, that the same guys have to wrestle each other literally dozens of times. They trade victories back and forth, and thus, no one gets over.
When you only had two hours of TV, a guy may only be on TV once or twice a month, so when he got that win, it felt important.

ahah, i'd be at home on the couch sayin you suck right along with them every show.
yo i wholeheartedly agree son. i mean jesus christ, when i was comin up the brooklyn brawler was one of my fave gimmicks even though EVERYBODY knew dude was takin a L almost every time he stepped through that curtain. even my moms walkin by the tv while i was watchin was like, 'jeez look at all the holes in his shirt, he's gotta be some kinda loser,'.- WWE needs to bring back the "local" talent (aka no name jobber). This used to be such a huge part of wrestling on TV. Feed some local talent to Kofi Kingston, Miz, R-Truth, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow. Now its exactly what you said, "They trade victories back and forth, and thus, no one gets over."
I remember watching raw and they were talking about how Del Rio won the World Heavyweight title on the previous smackdown. If you haven't watched Smackdown the past couple years I really don't think you've missed anything. It's been so blah.
Posted this a page back but glad it got reposted, it needs to be seen. Dude is a straight naturalEdumicate Yourselves.
I disagree. It will get boring if they do that to build up every mid level talent. People will start tuning out. They should only do it once in a while like they did with Ryback. The wrestlers just need to put on better matches and feed off the crowd more like they did this past Raw. WWE needs to drop a lot of the corny gimmicks. I use to like R-Truth but after the whole little Jimmy gimmick I can't take him serious anymore.- WWE needs to bring back the "local" talent (aka no name jobber). - Announce some PPV matches earlier. We see Sheamus vs. Orton for the right to face the Big Show on RAW, when we should have a Triple Threat match announced for Extreme Rules on RAW with the stip. that each person can bring one weapon into the match. Over the next 3 weeks have each person demolishing local talent with their weapon of choice.
- Main event some PPVs/RAWs with an IC or US title match featuring the hometown hero a la British Bulldog. Cody Rhodes did such a great job building up the IC title but now its turned back into Hot Potato.
The arena’s website for this Monday’s Raw event in Greenville, SC has updated their match listings. The listing is now advertising a tag team main event match pitting John Cena and Alberto Del Rio against Ryback and Dolph Ziggler. This match may be a dark match for the local crowd.
Man at one point WCW had SO much programming during the week
3 Hours of Nitro
2 Hours of Thunder
1 Hour of The Pro
1 Hour of Worldwide
2 Hours of WCW Sat. Night
1 Hour of The Main Event.
------------
10 Hours
And I couldn't get enough.
Man I miss the NWA/WCW soooo much
Thunder may be the worst pro wrestling show in US history.
