Who else hates Apple with some sort of passion?

I just hate how overpriced they are....and the elitist apple fanboys who think they know tech because they have a apple product. Other than that, no problems

I don't hate the products. The people who own Apple products usually have a holier than thou attitude which is what I hate. I just think people don't know there are options outside of the PC/laptops Best Buy has to offer. For the same price as a mid-level Pro I can get an ENVY, XPS/Alienware or ASUS loaded to the brim

I have nothing against Apple as a company. In fact, I'm impressed they managed to reinvent themselves in such a successful way. That being said, the products are for a niche market, they're pricey and impractical for most people. Yeah, they look pretty and the interface is all slick and fancy, but the bells and whistles don't do anything for me. I'm a writer, I just need Microsoft Word and I'm set.

Also, in regards to the security, as a hacker, it's better to go after the operating system 95% of the home computer market has than 5%. if Apple had the 95%, you know damn well Macs would get hit harder with security problems.

Apple's just doing their thing. They're not killing animals or polluting the air or operating crazy sweatshops like some other companies.

If anything, you guys should actually like apple for its hand in creating the marketplace you all enjoy. Android would have never surfaced without the innovations of the iphone. Everybody knows that competition is the best thing to happen to consumers.

The only reason to hate apple is because you hate the people buying their products, which is clearly an insecurity issue that you need to square away with yourself. That's on you.

Apple is cool with me, business is business and they are winning, what i hate are apple customers. So stupid, i swear. From the unwarranted elitism to the plain ignorance of anything computer related, ugh. (of course not all, but you know the type, rides a fixie instead of a motorbike, and wouldn't bust an apple in a fruit fight).

i can't hate on ipods....but macbooks?

wildly overpriced.
Ipods/Itouches/Iphones are overpriced as well.  The battery life on Ipods lact 1.5-2 years at the very most.  Once your battery is dead you have to resort to Apple's %*$**% customer service.  They charge u $75 + tax + shipping to replace the battery.  I have a generic MP3 player I bought in '05 that has outlasted two Nanos and one Mini.

My iPod is over 3 years old and the battery never dies. I only charge it on my laptop too

I've had my iPod for 4 years. At least. I cant even remember, I just know I've had it since high school, and it still works fine. The only problem is that it sometimes doesnt want to turn off. But the battery life is still great.

I dont hate Apple, I just hate the idiots who try to school me on technology, then get mad when I shoot their stupid fanboy claims down with logic. And Steve Jobs is an !%*.

I've had two iPods and one iPod Nano.  I've never paid for one, got the two iPods as gifts and the Nano I won in a raffle.  I loved all three, and still have one of the iPods.

I'm about to get a MacBook, mainly because of Final Cut Pro.  Otherwise, I would just jump on a Dell (Customer Service) or Toshiba (Cheap) since I've heard many horror stories about HP.

I wouldn't buy an iMac though, my 7 year old Sony Viao is still pushing

I don't get the Apple hate though, especially coming from an elitist board where everybody rocks $200+ sneakers, drives an M3 and only dates supermodels.

I don't see why people think Apple Laptops are overpriced. There are laptops that cost way more than Apple computerS. Toshiba Quisimo(sp) is like $2,000. People see Apple computers expensive cause they clearly can't afford it, and rather go with the option that most cost effective for them, a inexpensive computer. Apple gives you a 100% products that actually has the software working with the hardware, reason why the OS X is really good. Windows 7 is great OS, but its still lacking compatibility issues with certain hardware, why you think you can't find the proper drivers for a printer or a simple usb its usually both the OS and the software thats implemented in the hardware. OS X already has drivers inside the OS, so you don't have to worry about finding the driver for yourself. I've own many hi-end computers both PC and Macintosh, certain software works better on one os and the other lacks it, this also applies to the hardware. PC computers do have better hardware performance such as graphics cards, processors and connections however that hardware is not fully used to its potential cause the OS can't keep up with it. Apple does use older hardware and reason behind is because they value longevity on the battery life. A mac battery can last up to 10 years with out worrying of keeping charge all the time, a PC battery usually last up a 1 year or 2 depending on the user, so that means you have shell out about $80 to $100 on new battery every year. The reason why PC computer becomes infected with a viruses cause its usually the PC user fault, use the proper precautions and stop downloading porn or keep using LW.

Apple rather put there advertising dollar on consumer products like Ipod touch, Iphone4 and Ipad because they can create a sense of "want" instead of "need". They practice opulence cause every year there some new technology they don't mind putting out and hold back on certain things that you might need, but you'll still get cause you can show off. It a practice that every company that sells computer products will do. HP is known for this, they have model practice in which they sell really cheap computers, that have cheap parts in the and before you know it your laptop is broken within 6 months or a year.
