WHAT'S MORE IMPRESSIVE LeBRON'S 52/TRIPLE DOUBLE OR KOBE'S 61 @ MSG

Wow.

I saw that 50-10-10+ hasn't been done since 1975 by Kareem

eek.gif

That's a LOT of NBA seasons in between then and now including some SERIOUS NBA careers.

Wow.

And I saw this hilarious post by someone...

"Amazing what a team player can do. Isn't it great that he doesn't injure his teammates, he passes the ball, rebounds, plays defense, doesn't get brought up on rape charges, doesn't have other NBA players making songs asking him how their a** tastes, makes hilarious commercials, drops triple doubles, leads his team to the best record, doesn't lose at home, doesn't have people recording him bad-mouthing his teammates, has Super Bowl MVPs mimicking his pre-game tradition, doesn't have hall of fame centers leaving town because he's arrogant, doesn't dance in a pink shirt and underwear in a video game commercial, doesn't need a major market to get ridiculous attention, gives props to the fans..."

I think it's a lil OD, but funny nevertheless

What's the MOST impressive is that Ben Wallace had 3pts and 1 rebound in 24 minutes.

and that article was pretty biased imo

saying that kobe lives his life with no jokes and no laughs?
hey refs on NT, can you tell me if that is considered possession by Ben Wallace? or what constitutes possession for a rebound?

This debate is stupid.

I like both players but LeBron's effort would have been all for nothing if they lost that game which they were very close to doing.

Ben's stats aren't impressive, but the Cavs are definitely a better team with him. I've noticed that on every box score, he constantly has one ofthe best plus/minus ratios on the Cavs.

anybody that thinks that lebron wasnt going for that 61 is crazy...... he just happened to get 11 assts too and those last 2 rebounds are very questionable^^^^

with that being said i think lebron's performance > kobe's performance

Kobe won a championship in the Garden the other night?

I thought this thread was about single game performances from him and LeBron.

LOL

People bringing in NBA titles to the discussion

This is about 2 single game performances on Monday and Wednesday.

People are so sensitive...

Wow the immaturity is at an all time high. I've never seen it this bad here in the sports forum. A lot of people getting put on ignore.

Lebron's 52 pts, 10 rebs, 11asst, 2 blocks >>>>>>> Kobe's 61 pts, 0 rebs, 3assts, 1 block

How can you argue against this SINGLE game performance?

Triple double means you also contributed to other teamates scoring ( thats what assists do if you didnt know)
Grabing defensive rebounds also prevents the other team from getting a put back for two points. ( i believe he had a few of those)

so in conclusion:

Triple-Double in a win > 61 in a win

i'll take a 3D over any scoring accolade. the amazing thing is that bron got a 3D while scoring 50+ pts!!!

Fixed. I wouldnt say 10,10, and 10 is better than 61, but I would definitely say 52, 11,10 is better than 61,3,0.

And why am I not suprised that this thread turned into a Shaq's rings greater than Kobe's rings?

Kobe Haters in here full force! ...Put it like this-

They go head to head on Sunday

We know at some point in the game Kobe will be checking LeBron

I doubt LeBron will get on Kobe unless its a switch on a pick and roll

Lebron gave Al Harrington 42 Points, and 11 Rebounds
Kobe Gave Al Harrington 24 Points, and 12 Rebounds

If you want to talk about all around game.

Look at the efficiency rating it will tell it all.

kobe didnt need to do everything....pau and odon owned the boards with 14 a piece....and whoever was feeding that man was getting all the assists lol....andlebron is getting boards following up all them bricks he puts up...LOL!

seriously tho i am a kobe fan, and always have been....no hate on lebron bcuz dude is a flat out monster (*coughs* that nike created, along with the city ofakron) LOL! but they are both playing basketball on another level right now....and that matchup on sunday should b special....

I dont remember Kobe guarding Harrington on Monday.

He guarded Chandler, QRich, and Jared Jeffries, but no Harrington.

I've always wanted to fart in a car with LeBron and Kobe being in it and also child lock the doors and windows.

How the hell did this post jump to 12 page

laugh.gif

As someone else stated, great performances by the two but they're facing the 08/09 Knicks where defense isn't in the playbook

Also, as a Laker fan, I can fully admit that Lebron had the better overall game at MSG. But Kobe had the better performance, as he was more entertaining.

His variety of shots just brought NY to their knees. All you heard everytime Kobe held the ball was *silence* then OOOOOOOOOH...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Same thinghappend at Toronto last night. Also, MVP chants, standing ovation and people waiting after his postgame interview just showed the "rockstar" statusKobe has.

Were the fans chanting MVP for LeBron as much as they did for Kobe couple of days ago?
