I souldnt really lump them as streetwear.

i saw them more as an urban brand.

with that being said from the 2000s urban brand standpoint:

Lifted Research Group doe

i come to study clothing and fashion at American university. i am here little time and i am very hard stress. i am gay also and this very difficult for me, i am very religion person. i never act to be gay with other men before. but after i am in america 6 weeks i am my friend together he is gay also. He was show me American fashion and then we are kiss.

We sex together. I never before now am tell my mother about gay because i am very shame. As i fock this American boy it is very good to me but also i am feel so guilty. I feel extreme guilty as I begin orgasm. I feel so guilty that I pick up my telephone and call Mother in Russia. I awaken her. It too late for stopping so I am cumming sex. I am very upset and guilty and crying, so I yell her, "I AM CUM FROM SEX" (in Russia). She say what? I say "I AM CUM FROM SEX" and she say you boy, do not marry American girl, and I say "NO I AM CUM FROM SEX WITH MAN, I AM IN ***, I CUM IN ***" and my mother very angry me. She not get scared though.

I hang up phone and am very embarrass. My friend also he is very embarrass. I am guilt and feel very stupid. I wonder, why do I gay with man? But I continue because when it spurt it feel very good in American ***.

what is going on there???

ECHO in the early 90's was dope...

Shared the landscape with 555-Soul, Gat, Illmob, Conart, GFS, PNB and all them...

I never wore clothing made by rappers or any ecko. Round here that was never a good look.

Fubu, those leather baseball jerseys that had the ny boroughs on them :pimp: (at the time)

Lrg was up there 2

Ecko was the first brand I really fell in love with. Bought so much of it, and thought I was doing it. Then it got played out.... I was distraught, going o school just to have people hike on my gear.

You would have thought I would have learned from that and not over commit to a brand but nope. Did it again with Pepe jeans, LRG and enyce . Rocawear was a constant though

LRG>

in its prime

but ecko did have a pretty good run too

nothing flyer then some faded denim shorts (enyce, rocawear, ecko, etc)

some fresh white forces (lows)

and a fresh white pro club, pro 5, or shaka back in the early 00's

:smokin

I feel like there was ALOT of stuff that was universally loved everywhere but considered lame in the DMV.

For examle:
-Ecko
-FUBU
-Enyce
-G Unit

None of these brands were ever cool.

Just like every highschool used to have those "New York Kids" who always wore Timberland Field Boots and huge earrings with the pinwheel fitted 5 times too big.

Also, I just want to note that the DMV was rocking 5-panel hats HEAVY years and years before it caught on in the rest of the US.
