The conficker virus blocks your computer from going there so if you're able to load the site, you don't have it... yet

I tried to D/L the patch from MS, and it says my system does not need the D/L
I tried both Vista links, I have Home Premium. Not sure.... Oh well. I am up to date on updates and my anti-virus is secure.

But yeah I've done some research and a couple of sites have had those links on there. So I'm guessing it would work. The thing is, the viruscompletely blocks you from going to those sites to download those tools. So you have to find a way around that by either downloading them right now and keepingthem on deck, or download them from a clean computer and transfer it to the infected one.

Its 12.44..24hours is a long time. Not to mention the virus may act like a typical virus and lurk until it decides to flare up one day. Plus if it is reallylurking it may simply be tracking our key strokes as mentioned.
