TBH, I never really have watched all that much Olympic basketball. Considering the Olympics only come around every four years, I'd rather watch track, swimming, gymnastics, etc. than watch preliminary round basketball. I pay more attention when the medal rounds start.
 
I'm usually really excited to watch Team USA but this team is just meh to me. No one really exciting besides if KD gots super hot from 3 or if Melo is as well.

Not me. It only happen every 2 years to watch these superstars on the same team, so I embrace it. Although Harrison Barnes should not be on the team :rolleyes
 
^^^ That team was unbeatable. not even the 08 or 12' Teams could beat it. MJ, MAGIC, BIRD, CB34 Damm. I was younging in 92' :Nthat

I'm not sure what this means. These are elite athletes out there.

We just saw Demar Derozan almost pull off one of the greatest dunks ever. I guess "exciting" is subjective but based on my definition, putting 12 guys on the floor...of which 99% are all-stars in the most competitive basketball league in the world...I'm not sure how that isn't exciting.

Its not exciting to me because there's no real competition or doubt in the outcome. Just a bunch of great players being on the same team isn't exciting to me unless there's some actual drama in the games. Its similar to why I often find the NBA all-star game boring.

the competition also wasn't as tough as it is now. 92 was nice, but i personally think 08 was the best
olympics bball is really a showtime exhibition for fans to watch team usa put the beatdown :lol
team usa could bring their Z team and still be able to come away with the gold. time to bring back the collegiate athletes and let them get some shine.

Not really. Magic was still in peak shape, besides the Aids virus and the scrutiny by fans and the league. I think if it wasn't for that, he would have balled another 4 or 5 years in his career. Bird on the other hand had a ton of nagging injuries. Not sure how much longer he could have played.


The competition was low key compare to 2008. Only good team was Yugoslavia/Croatia. old boy ZAN TABAK and Dino Radja where on that team. of course KUKOC AND PETROVIC (RIP) ALSO.
