The ageless Don Iniesta's importance to Barca was definitely on full display today, they could've really used him.

His absence showed, but if I were a Barca fan I'd be disappointed in the lack of work from the front 3 to make up for it. I thought it was lazy, especially from Messi since he has the skills to drop back. City were playing with one forward and Barca with 3, and they got overloaded in the midfield. The likes of Andre Gomes needed help desperately and didn't get it. Front 3 were being divas just chilling waiting for the ball to arrive at their feet.

Great goal, reminds me of Jay Jay Okocha's goal of the year in 1993!

Also, I have to admit, Pep finding a way of beating Barca is something I didn't expect him to. I've been a little critical of him but credit where it's due. It helps that Gündogan is one of the best MFers in the world, of course. He'll probably finally get the recognition he deserves now that he plays for City.

Is it fair to say the prem should be quaking in their boots now that City seems to have shaken off the doldrums of their poor form? Kinda funny how they couldn't muster a win thru a 6 or 7 game slide (draws helped) & yet still stayed on top of the table.

I don't know tbh.

Yeah they had a good game against Barca, but Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are doing that to cats every other week in the league right now also.

I think after Chelsea put that beating on United, everyone should be woke. They're walking up the table and in the best form right now.

Not to mention that the squad that gave Citeh their first L,Tottenham, is still unbeaten and is getting back their star man...

I definitely don't see Citeh running away with things the way it seemed earlier on in the season,it's gonna be a rat race until the end imo.

I will say this about City though, if they can find a way to keep Aguero healthy, and use that Barca result as fuel to open a gap this month, everyone should get nervous.

Because when I look at who's on their team compared to Arsenal, Chelsea, etc, they aren't really a better team. The talent is pretty spread out i the league right now. Everyone's got the same amount of talent, but to be sitting on top after a pretty below par October shows that City can control the league however they want if they don't start taking consistent L's.

If they start creeping away a little bit its trouble.

But then again, look at Arsenal. Pretty much in just as much control as City right now. That goal difference is really what separates the two.

Best. Day. Ever.
Worst. Matchday. Ever.

My dude Drogba just about pulled an Aguero and basically carried Chelsea to the league title by a single point 2 seasons prior :smh:

That was before I came around on Drogba after he joined the Impact ,Dude used to be such a pest/thorn in every PL clubs side :smh:

Cristiano Ronaldo Meets Young Coma Survivor Before Legia Warsaw vs. Real Madrid
By Chris Laker , Featured Columnist Nov 2, 2016

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been reunited with a boy whose recovery from a coma was reportedly helped by listening to a recording of the Portuguese icon scoring a goal.

The youngster, David Pawlaczyk, was in a coma for three months after a car crashed into him as he rode his bicycle two years ago, Javier G. Matallanas of AS reported.

A tweet from the Spanish newspaper captured the pair's meeting ahead of Madrid's Champions League tie with Legia Warsaw on Wednesday:

Per the report, part of David's treatment involved specialists playing him recordings of childhood memories in a bid to bring him out of the coma.

And it was a recording of commentary from a goal scored by Ronaldo that reportedly proved successful in aiding the teenager's recovery.

David originally met Ronaldo when he was invited to watch the forward play for Los Blancos against Borussia Dortmund in the 2014 Champions League match in Madrid. Now 15-years-old, David once again got to meet CR7, who posed for pictures and signed autographs for the teenager and his family.

People conflate his on-field personality with his off-field life. Dude seems like a good guy.
