I agree with Wavy but using the 2015 team’s pic without the much needed context is disingenuous as hell
@darthska logic
They still won 67 games...had the highest point differential and got to the finals bruh. A Historically great team. Injuries are part of the game. They did what they were supposed to do.
Not like they were some Juggernaut team that was assembled with established superstars and a renowned coach. Nothing disingenuous about that.
DisingenuousCrocket
KD fell into GSW's lap but i don't think anyone foresaw Klay and Iggy becoming what they did lol
Iggy played in a whole all star game the year before he came to Golden State
I know you got receipts of that ESPN graphic with all the expert pics before the 2014-2015 season lol.
I mean...to me, they’re 1A & 1B. You can argue it either way. It’s much closer than you making it seem over the last 5/6 years
I do know that Steph Curry has won and gotten to the finals....THROUGH KD. And has gotten to the finals....2 other times, and won One without KD.
That’s indisputable. Can’t say that for KD.
The best harden ever got was 34 year old chris PaulreformeDWS logic:
“Unfortunate”. “Not surrounded by top tier talent”:
“Fortunate, “top tier talent that fell into said players lap:
The last 5/6 years is arguable in terms of accomplishments yes. Although steph fans conveniently leave out defense, which steph is mediocre at best.
but again the 5/6 year thing is great for steph but KD was literally an MVP before Steph ascended. And has kept that level of play up since. So yes it's close if you erase 3-4 seasons of MVP caliber ball from KD's career.... sure. But in totality it's not. And when both are 100% it's not.
I'd say we're right around Thai Curry right nowThe thread is rich with spices today...

A lot of superstars will take that as a #2. ALOT!
Are those superstars trying to win championships?

I’m just the yin to their bistephsual yang.I love that this fits both ways, towards Stans and haters.
And not just Curry.
SO mediocre it's led to 3 rings, and a dynasty.
In these discussions, I acknowledge Steph's shortcomings (mostly due to athleticism and height) defensively when it's necessary, but, in reality there's no need to because he's still a plus there. Especially when compared to some of his peers. I mean Westbrook, Lillard, Kyrie all fall asleep on defense plus die on screens but yet that's NEVER talked about LOL.
He rarely does that. He gets "exposed" when he gets crossed or a player makes an incredible shot, like everyone else.
If his defense was SO mediocre why did Lebron pass to George Hill in game 1 of the finals? LOL
Btw, there were whole bloopers of Bron's defensive blunders. the previous season. Him being trash on that end since 2017 were on display last year but yet that's NEVER talked about*
*He's better this year
The entire impact of Steph's game supersedes the need to be an elite two-way player.
Two-way player=/ greater player.
If this wasn't true he wouldn't have 3 rings. I don't care how great Iggy's defense is.
