But I do think that his growth and the Warriors growth as a team and as a franchise cripple the argument that he's the 2nd best PGOAT.
If someone else were saying the exact words that I've said, my argument against alternate-me would be exactly what you just said.
And I have nothing to refute what you just said, if I were dead set that he's overrated trash.
I know steph is phenomenal, though, elite even. I think where I started to get lost is in #2 PGOAT. Like, PG is probably the most loaded position in the history of the NBA. I have nothing to back that up, and I'm not intrested in any metrics that show another position has been more loaded in the league's history. But we all know there have been a metric eff-ton of disgusting PGs. #2? Of all time? Like, I don't think it's a coincidence that his growth and the Warriors growth follow the exact same trajectory. But I do think that his growth and the Warriors growth as a team and as a franchise cripple the argument that he's the 2nd best PGOAT.
Steph lacks something very important to break into top 10 status, longevity. His peak is probably a top 10 peak.
30ppg, 50-40-90, 73 wins, 400 3s, but the overall career numbers aint there. GOAT shooter though.

I don't think he's the #2 SFOAT.So are you going to use LeBron playing with two other all-stars from 2010-2018 to cripple the argument for Bron’s legacy?
I said back THEN on here that...Pau joining the Lakers to cripple the validity of Kobe’s 4th and 5th titles?

Right. And what did he do on that loaded squad? They went to 9 finals in 12 years, winning 5 of them, and he won FMVPs along with some others who also did.You know what team and franchise THE GOAT, Point Guard played for?
One argument at a time.Bron not a top 2 sf oat?
I mean that’s a pretty bad take imo lolOne argument at a time.
Ska was feeling left out of the hot take festI mean that’s a pretty bad take imo lol
You're not even trying to understand, so you got it.darthska logic
I wanna see Isiah do it without Chuck Daly and the bad boys pistons. Then, I’d consider him such & such
I wanna see Magic Johnson do it without Kareem and the showtime lakers. Then I’d consider him the goat pg
I wanna see John Stockton so it without Karl Malone & Jerry Sloan. Then I’d consider him such and such.
steph is no doubt great on his own merit, but he's been fortunate to have klay, dray, iggy, and then have KD fall into their laps. from a team perspective, a lot of other top players in this league have not been surrounded by that level of talent. the warriors have made the most of it, so kudos to them.
