Jordan had the greatest career ever, but I don't think there's a better basketball player than LeBron, and if there was it ain't by much. If that makes sense.

Yeah because you’re not biased at all lol

Can’t nobody....with that many blemishes compared to MJ, Kareem and even Magic...can be considered greater. That’s all I’m saying. The elevating of him...and having a conversation of him being that...when he STILL ain’t mean the standard is what’s annoying. He got work to do.

You acting like I firmly don’t have him as one of THE greatest players ever. He just ain’t IT....yet, And that’s okay.

Mike and Kareem for sure...fit the bill of being “it”. Bron had his shots....and failed. Still one of the greatest basketball players to ever walk the earth.

ESPN had Bron as the #2 ranked player ever, behind MJ after he won his 2nd championship with Miami. That’s nuts

The bar be lowered for you guy.

This is how I feel. There's a lot of perception going on here that we all know about. But I'm going Bron in terms of TALENT

It's pretty much where I stand. Kareem and Jordan are on a tier by themselves as far as greatest basketball players of all time.

But Who's the 'best' basketball player is a different conversation? And I think one that you're alluding to.

I hate

How Bron has done half the work....but is in the “GOAT” convo. That ain’t ever going to sit right with me.

He ain’t THAT :smh: smfh 🤦🏾‍♂️

Brazy Bron already played 2 more seasons than MJ.

9 less scoring titles
3 less steals titles
3 less all defensive teams
1 less DPOTY
1 less MVP
3 less Finals MVPs
3 less rings (in 3 more appearances)
Less regular and postseason scoring averages

Like stop it man. Kareem is the ONLY one with an argument.

How are we defining talent? Bron is more physically imposing than Money but ability to play basketball? C'mon man there's still facets of Bron's game to this day that he's never mastered. There hasn't been a better offensive player than Mike ever and maybe 1 better perimeter defensive player which was his teammate. I've conceded Bron is a better playmaker, but other than that what does he actually do on the floor better than Money?

But just because LeBron might be more talented than MJ that doesn't mean LeBron is the Goat.

The most talented team doesn't always win the Championship.

Or a weird analogy, but the smarter person doesn't necessarily do better on the test or succeed more in life.

It’s like saying Shaq over everyone because of talent and size plus the his achievements

At some point actual results need to be the overriding factor and to a lesser extent, because of goat talk, failures

Not a got damn thing. Better playmaker is even up for discussion too.

Bruh just was a better person than MJ....that we grew up on. That’s it . But from a basketball perspective....it ain’t really that debatable. For LeBron James to come from where he come from, be who he is, elevate and inspire millions, bring his people with him, exceed expectations and still be here....is a story of its own. You don’t gotta put extras on it too appreciate it. Yo is remarkable.

That doesn’t make him the greatest basketball player ever tho. People can’t discern between the two lol.

Pat Riley stood in the mouth of the tunnel at Boston’s TD Garden (before Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals), between the court and the locker room, and waited for the Boat. That’s what he calls LeBron James — “You know,” Riley explains, “best of all time” — an acronym he conjured to remind the planet’s preeminent basketball player of frontiers still to be conquered. “Hey, Boat,” Riley will say. “How is the Boat doing today?” James will reflexively laugh and shake his head because he is not the Boat, at least not yet.

If we’re talking who’s the “best”, I’m leaning KD

Shaq won 3 straight finals MVPs...and was a top 50 player of ALL TIME by his 3rd year.

Just imagine if Shaq was a perimeter player...who had the machine like Bron.

Shaq, Bron & Wilt to me...are in the #same tier. That’s who Bron should be compared too. Really similar.

I dont even know if this matters.

These last two weeks have taught me that the world at large thought Michael Jordan was a saint almost, and people knew nothing of the violence, the degradation of teammates, the first "retirement", the father story, none of it. Insulation of information is a real thing.

The Bron/MJ machines are close to equal IMO.

Exactly. Shaq didn't maximize the talent and physical gifts. Bron has done it better than he did but still the results are what they are. You CANNOT get punked by JJ Barea and Jason Terry and have an argument dawg, I'm sorry.

He’d look like 2016-17 Embiid before he broke his face

I've been said Bron was this generations Wilt. Both extremely physically gifted compared to their contemporaries but there was something missing for a while.
