The Ultimate Soccer Thread 2012-2013 Vol. 3 Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga etc

Malaga vs Borussia Dortmund
-Dortmund this season has leaked goals at the back, and Malaga is a team punching above their weight. If both teams play to full potential, Malaga doesnt have a chance. Thing is Dortmund often play down to their competition. Dortmund will advance, but it wont be easy at all

Real Madrid vs Galatasary (sp?)
-Burak Yilmaz is one of the best players in Europe. I like this Gala team a lot. They have players that can hurt Madrid with long-range shooting and "sucker-punches" like Sneijder, Drogba and Yilmaz. Madrid needs to be on upset alert

Paris SG vs Barcelona
-I think a very comfortable advancement for Barca. This PSG team hasn't impressed me at all, and without Ibra they pretty much have no chance IMO. A very overrated team.

Bayern Munich vs Juventus
- I think this is a true 50/50 game. I personally see Bayern winning, but I wouldnt be shocked if Juve win. Winner of this matchup wins the Champions League IMO

Jose will have to face some of his former players in Drogba & Sneijder when RM faces Gala.

I think Juve could possibly upset BM & likewise with Gala possibly upsetting RM. I could see one happening but not both...

The whole "Busquets is a diver" thing is so damn old and made by people who don't pay attention to the game at all  Yes, that dive against Thiago Motta was one of the worst I've ever seen, but that was years ago. Alexis Sanchez is a frequent diver, Busquets is not.

Hilarious how so many of you post "Drogba :pimp:" ,when he the truth is he does what Busquets did on a daily basis. I like Ronaldo now, but until recently he was the king of diving (see "Ronaldo Diving Manual" parts 1&2 on Youtube).Yet some dudes here consistently make posts saying "I LOVE Ronaldo :wow:" . Let a Barca player dive once though and their feelings get hurt

I'll preface my remarks by saying I'm a Barca fan, have been since about 1989-1990 (about when Pep was playing) but this current side does put on some performances. It was even more evident during the recent stretch of bad play. They kept looking for & then complaining about not getting calls. The AC Milan match was the first time I saw less of it this year. I agree with what you said though.

The two Spanish teams and the two German teams are going to make it to the next round. I don't even think its close and it shouldn't even be a question.

This round is def missing some English influence.

An Everton fan dressed in full Manchester City kit attempted to warm up with the Premier League champions at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The man ran along the touchline before trying to join the City players on the field ahead of the match. Security staff were alerted and he was quickly led away.

Manchester City tweeted: "Bizarre scenes at Goodison as a mystery 'number 9' attempted to warm-up with the players. He's now been escorted off by the stewards!"

An Everton spokesman later confirmed that the man had been arrested.

"A man, believed to be from the London area, has been arrested by Merseyside police for pitch encroachment," the spokesman said.

It follows an incident when the teams met at Goodison Park last season which saw a man handcuff himself to a goalpost.

Arsenal: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Arteta, Diaby, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud
Subs: Szczesny, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Coquelin, Rosicky, Ramsey, Gervinho.

Arsenal will only buy gotze/isco if they take a 10m deal for them.. Wenger will probably spend on some random french players

Down 2-0 to southampton... wtf

What a weak first half from us. Diaby and Theo looking lazy out there. Ramsey for Diaby and Rosicky for Theo and have Santi out wide at this point.
Ever since Theo has signed his contract, his performance dipped
