The Ultimate Soccer Thread 2012-2013 Vol. 3 Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga etc

WOW.. Is this real life? Both ozil and silva have been poor this yr.. Iniesta is in a class of his own

A lot of people don't even watch these dudes play and just go off what they hear from other biased fans.

Ozil and Silva are great but to say that they're the best is just laughable. People need to distinguish between opinions and facts

I love when people make that assumption. Shut up with that crap. If I believe Ozil is the best CAM in the world then it is my own opinon. I couldn't care less if you think its stupid. You believe Iniesta is? Cool. Your opinion.

Cornballs man I swear.

Yea I know stats aren't everything. Winning is all that matters but Ozil is in the same class as these guys and I'm a barca fan

Silva maybe you guys are right about him not being up there. Opinions are just that though

Exactly. But I'm biased and don't know **** about soccer.

Cool...

Congrats.

If you want to go by numbers of assists

http://espnfc.com/stats/assists/_/league/uefa.champions/uefa-champions-league?cc=5901
http://espnfc.com/stats/assists/_/league/esp.1/spanish-primera-division?cc=5901

All those guys must be better than Ozil then by your own logic :rolleyes

#s aren't everything. Ozil has been nowhere close to how good he was last year, any Real Madrid/La Liga/football fan in general can confirm that. So to say that he's the best right now is NOT an opinion, it's just wrong

Clint Dempsey had 17 goals and 7 assists last season. Must be top 5 in the EPL then :smokin

^ relax bro, everybody has opinions, why can't you just respect that

Anyways, I only had time to catch the Man City vs Everton game today. My God that strike from Leon Osman :x :x :x :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

I agree that City aren't the same with out Yaya. In my opinion Javi Garcia overreacted when he got fouled by Pienaar. But Pienaar should have been more careful on that tackle since he already had a yellow.

Lyon got washed today smh. Thauvin, I remember we were linked to him. Looks like he has a lot of potential.
I can see City letting Nasri go. Doesn't really offer them much. They can do better for what he's worth. Did read that they are ready to do some offloading. Also linked to Eriksen and Fischer.

For some reason I can see Nasri playing in spain or Germany.

I can see him going to Italy. Someone on twitter brought up the fact that Inter wanted him at one point. I think they may try and get him this summer. He needs to be playing 90mins really. Not riding the bench but I'm not mad. What a wanker

 Modern football analysis for the Fifa/Messi/CR generation of fans.

-If CAM is just another acronym for a number ten then Ozil may be the best CAM in the world. But that's only because he is one of the few who actually plays that specialist position. There are players who can play the position better than he can, and Iniesta is obviously one of them. Notice how Ozil doesn't play when Mou opts for a 4-3-3 - it's because his tactical and positional awareness are lacking, and he isn't good defensively. To put it simply, he doesn't 'run' games. His influence is typically felt through that one key pass or through-ball.

I don't even think he is the best German playmaker. Kroos is more skilled, and is a better all around player. As far as passing goes, Ozil is the more creative of the two, but Kroos' range and weight of passing are superior, and he can play centrally too. I distinctly remember Kroos dominating the midfield against Real Madrid last season. Gotze has the potential to be better than both.

And it's absolutely ABSURD to put Ozil on Iniesta's level. Iniesta is the best midfielder of his generation. He is the best tournament performer since Zidane. He has won everything there is to win for club and country. It's laughable.

City have rarely played their best 11 all season. a lot of that can be attributed to injuries and other competitions, but Mancini has done a poor job handling the roster. Where's Lescott been?? same for Nasri?? Maicon and Richards havent been heard of in weeks.

Now theres talks that City will go hard after Falcao. Meaning, Dzeko will be gone, and Madrid may come after Kun Aguero..........

poor excuse if you ask me.. city's "weakest" sq should be light yrs ahead of the comp.. problem is too many egos and everyone seems content with that one EPL title.. this team was hungry last yr, and you dont see that anymore.
