The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I'm struggling to see how the announcement of a PS5-exclusive (at least for a few years, realistically) sequel to a 3 year old game that PC is about to get an enhanced port of would hurt sales on PC in any meaningful way.

See Rockstar via GTAV and RDR2
See Naughty Dog via TLOU Remastered.
Typically when a port is coming, the sequel isn’t announced before the port releases.

I don't see them sitting on Horizon 2 at the PS5 reveal for the sake of Horizon PC sales. Selling PS5's will be a much bigger priority. Horizon 2 could still be 6-12 months out from Horizon PC, giving it time to sell.

That's not to say God of War 2 couldn't be revealed as well. But I'd say that's too quick of a turnaround. Heck, they might end up porting GOW to PC. It's hard to say.

HZD for PC does not even have a place holder release date

Sony doesn't care about PC releases for games like how Microsoft does their games releases on console & pc .

Might be Europe only, but still a steal

This is a unique case though.
Majority of those buying Horizon on PC are not double dippers but ones who wouldn't have bought it in the first place because they game on PC only.

Horizon 2 announcement won't affect them

Personally, I just think it's an experiment from Sony who are exploring every avenue.

Honestly forgot their TV initiative. Hopefully state of play is not lopsided with these announcements though.

All these shows seem a bit weird for HBO. No way am I gonna actually pay another subscription to watch any of these shows. TLOU may be the exception.

Well keep in mind its HBO's new streaming service. They're trying to pad it out with content as much as they can for as many demographics they can get.

If they can rake in money comparable to their cable services they'll keep it up. Not a surprise they'd do a deal with Sony for that content.

Don't know how that correlated to M$ but ok. I disagree though, ALL companies care about sales.

I’d cop since I don’t have a pro but my launch is running perfect and ps5 about to drop.

Past 2 gens I've had no problems with buying a OG Fat 60GB launch PS3 then getting a PS3 slim and now this gen getting a launch PS4 and now having a white PS4 Pro.

Only broke boi's and broke college kids stay on and hope a launch Playstation console lasts an entire 7 year life span without dying on them

My launch day PS4 is still going strong...

Props for posting this.

Re-up on 2 years of PS+ for the price of one. :pimp:

Just got 1 now. Cant't beat $32.00. :pimp:
Can this added be added to my account now to extend the current expiration date? Or do I just enter it when the current expires?
(EX: Currently mine expires 12/20, but if i add it now will it change to 12/21?)
