cant always believe everything u read
not tryna get into a debate
im just sayin
history is finding as much sources we have and trying to figure a narration. That doesn’t mean all of history is opinions though.
slavery in America happened. That’s a fact.
the holocaust happened. That’s a fact.
Japan colonized Korea. That’s a fact.
i understand what you’re saying and agree that the narration of history can change. But some things really aren’t even debatable UNTIL New sources are discovered.
Ex.
Officers in the national intelligence agency during Nazi Germany said they only followed Hitler out of fear. This was the narrative of Nazi German history. As decades went by, more sources and documents changed that narratives and historians found that what they said wasn’t true. Historians began to find that Nazi officers in the intelligence agency actually believed Hitler’s philosophy and followed him because of the shared belief. This changed the narrative of history.
no sources like that has changed the history of Samurais being brutal. at least for now.
