Definitely getting Ghosts. Black and white mode!

Environments are beautiful.
Also like the inFamous style Samurai/Ghosts split.
Black and white mode plus Japanese voice track with minimal HUD

Combat looks good but let down a bit by some animations but that can be tidied up.

Day 1

Ghost looking like a solid 8/10. The combat doesn’t look like that great (just something we’ve seen time and time again) but the environment looks fun.

The games are great.

But I'm just saying, there are XBox and PS4 games in the tournament, but the biggest game is missing. Why's that?

Because the online is trash.

Nintendo hosted a Smash tournament and the lag was so bad they cut the stream mid game then they lied about it.



EVO don't want that.
This plus other reasons is why there online is $20.

Still using friend codes
Cloud saves doesn't work on all games
Free monthly games are old NES/SNES games
No voice/party chat. You have to get a barebones paid app on your phone and it's not even for every game.


Vita has better online functionality and that was free.
Nintendo just joined the bandwagon and started charging cuz they can.

I finally beat Chrono Trigger. Game is a solid 7/10 for me. Aside from the final boss and some of the side bosses, the game is pretty easy and straightforward. Having played Final Fantasy Vi multiple times over and it being my favorite game of all-time, it made me cheese hearing those same sounds when you use magic and some of the background noises like the wind blowing.

The first one was interesting as it came out a bit after GTA 3 and was set in a different era, different themes, etc... The PC version of that game was actually better than the console versions - which were kinda trash. Ironically the GTA 3 PC version had poor performance while the console versions were generally good.

I think Mafia 2 was an average at best sandbox type game when there a few in that era. Mafia 3 was cheeks.

I'll get the trilogy if Mafia 1 is good.

Ghost looks good. But as someone who majored in E Asian history it’s hilarious the amount of stereotypical things they put in there from what I’ve seen.

aside from the mongols never attacking Japan (they tried twice but their fleets were destroyed in a typhoon)

samurais weren’t some super honorable warriors that you see in movies and in games lol. They had rules of structure and honor on the outside, but they were complete savages. There’s plenty of primary sources from monks describing samurais as monsters.
Also the game displays mongols like some low lives lol. These guys had the second largest empire in all of history and were some of the most sophisticated people in all of history.

I know it’s just a demo they showed but I really do hope they show how intelligent the mongols actually were.

if you studied ancient Japanese history you would know this isn’t really even debated among historians and the overwhelming amount of primary sources shows this. This isn’t the case with black folks and their history.
