Didn't get a chance to finish God of War and I was pretty deep in the game, at a tough part and I cannot pick up the controls back to save my life

GoW control scheme is quite different from games in the same genre. I started off on the hard 'Give me a challenge' difficulty and the first pack of Draugrs gave me a beating not because I couldn't handle them but the controls weren't what I was used to.
If you have the costume with the Spider-Bro ability you're good to ease back into the game.

I started up a NG+ in God of War the other day. Picked the 3rd difficulty. I couldn't make it out of the first enemy encounter. Getting 1 shotted left and right. I said **** that and lowered the difficulty. I haven't gone back yet, that kinda soured me on another playthrough.
I did a spidey NG+ beforehand and breezed through on Ultimate.

I enjoyed 1 but felt like I picked it up too late and everyone was OP and I kept getting killed.

Yeah PvP is a different animal.
But yes it is worth it at 20. It is a pretty phenomenal game.
