The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Anyone here mess with either Thrustmaster or Fanatec? Beginner here. Just need personal experiences with these wheels. Looking to get one soon to play some sim-racing and *hopefully* transition to more complex setups in the future. Thanks!
Thrustmaster... and it's very good. I started with a Logitech DFGT on the PS3 and then later upgraded to the Thrustmaster T300RS. Fanatec is above the Thrustmaster.
Like most things in life, you get what you pay for. Fanatec is $$$.

Yeah, you’re right about the value for the money. I’ve done calculations and the T300rs with the shifter, handbrake, and a wheelstand would only net me about ~$700 or less while Fanatec is just too ridiculous

Interesting the amount of people getting into HZD in the thread. Year of the backlog for real :pimp:

I’d hate to have to start from scratch just to handle the dlc. BL135 is really high. Most people finish NG at around 100 from what I’ve gauged. I’ve played half of the main story on NG+ and it’s been much easier than NG (heard the old hunters is a different matter though, but it seems like players try doing it too early instead of immediately before the point of no return.) I’d personally suggest just playing the main story on NG+ to level up and maybe doing chalices for gems if necessary. Before starting from scratch.

oh i completed the dlc already with that new character

i actually liked starting from scratch b/c i had upgraded weapons in my ng+ run that i never used and put points into stuff that didnt apply to my playstyle.

it was nice to have things streamlined (beat dlc w/ saw cleaver and hunter pistol/evelyn +10 and build focused on VIT/SKL w/ light arcane so i could use beast roar, augur of ebrietas etc.)

i did the old hunters rite after mergo's wet nurse/cainhurst.

it took maybe 10hrs. to get to that point so the time commitment wasn't that bad but ive beaten the base game before so i was pretty clear on what route i wanted to take and wasnt surprised by anything

Once I finish Spidey and KH3, I'm on to HZD then Dishonored 1 & 2 then Metro 2033 and Last light. Backlog is packed. Mad games to play

I’m also looking forward to Metro 2033 and Last Light. Exodus looked really good so I wanted to start from the beginning.

The Metro games are darn good, I picked up 2033 and Last Light for $6 and they are really fun games. Will get Exodus down the road

Bruh, I went HAM buying PS1-3 games cuz they're like, $5 each. Copped maybe 35 games in the last 2 weeks.

Lady at a retro game store told me now is a great time to cop older games with the prices they're at now cuz of the PS5 rumor.

PS5 announcements should put a stop to all these purchases. You need to buy any new games for PS4 because they’ll all get ported/remastered to PS5 :lol

Yeah, I also went ham ever since I upgraded my hard drive. This is where I'm at now:

I'm now like 20+ games behind.

Hopefully the PS5 is at least 100 TB.

imagine having a PC with a 100 tb... could fit so much pr0n on there without worrying about space

Each PS4 game takes up 50-100 GB to install. I can only imagine how much space a PS5 game will take.
