The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

TLOU and HZD are exquisite apples to luxury oranges imo

2 very different games. TLOU had the more compelling story. Both had brilliant settings. HZD the better core gameplay.

If I had to pick, I’d give a slight nod to HZD because after you beat the campaign you can do things like get the op armor and go hunting for the biggest baddest beasts, in the most remote areas.

Not saying it makes HZD the better game, but it added to the pure enjoyment factor.

Yeah I agree. I’d say HZD is the more fun game but TLOU is the better story game

I couldn't decide which to start on first.

I copped TLOU remastered just now b/c my bro kept on raving about it.

Is it similar to the RE games?

I played both, TLOU is more enjoyable for me since it's more expansive and has a more emotional story, but RE2 is excellent in it's own right and does a better job of providing a claustrophobic experience. TLOU is easier to play if you're not really into horror, RE2 has me straight in panic mode when I'm surrounded with only a damn flashlight and no bullets.

I'm ridiculously excited for Sekiro and Ghost.

I’m excited for Shadows Die Twice , hoping it can capture me the way Bloodborne did.

Side note I FINALLY finished the finished the campaign in God Of War, now I’m finally trying to get through Red Dead. Lmao. At least I beat Spider-Man when it came out. Only like two trophies away from the Platinum.

On the 2nd to last Mission in the main story of HZD before I move on to the Frozen Wilds.
Basically they hinted that I just go to sleep and wake up for war.
So I'm definitely trying to bring Aloy up a tier with the weapons, get a better ropecaster, etc
I wanted to get that Ancient Armor though and thought I had all the power cores, turns out I missed one and now I gotta backtrack
just hoping I overlooked it when I was in the
Gaia Ruins
which makes sense since the story is really that captivating

I have the Frozen Wilds DLC and just can’t seem to get to it. Too many games in the backlog :{

I just beat Horizon Zero Dawn... It was fun but it was a grind for me... I beat Uncharted 4 before I started playing HZD and HZD wasn't as fun to me

The short answer. No.

The only thing you can expect to be similar between the two is action RPG & difficult.

Be ready for a new experience

I'm cool with that. Hated the fatigue bar in BB.

Won't pick up Sekiro right away, though. I'll just wait for a holiday sale.

Days Gone and MLB the Show 19 for me.

Hopefully Ghost of Tsushima is out this year.

I should probably give Nioh another shot before Sekiro drops but I doubt if I got enough patience to do play through both of them back to back.

I love HZD but I can respect this opinion. If you’re not crazy about the universe I can see how it can feel slow and like a chore at times due to the rpg elements and inventory management.

Me as I finally finished RDR2. That ending was traumatizing since I was so emotionally attached to Arthur

Now I can put all my focus on KH3 and RE2

Wish it effected me a lil more but I straight up called it when it was announced. It was a prequel so of course certain people were gonna live
