TR reboot > UC1 gameplaywise

It came out 6 years later and was based on the groundwork and innovation of UC

All the money/backlog I’ve saved and all the work days I’ve gotten through with YouTube>>>>

I don’t have the time or energy to get through all the games I want to anymore, and I’m only getting less time as I get older

The unfortunate truth.

I won’t hang up video games. But damn :smh:

There are certain games that always will be played though.

Yea I got my list of games I know I’ll play usually made at the start of the yr. But even when I got the time and energy to, sometimes my desire to hop on games like I used to just ain’t there anymore :smh:

Lol I suck so I'm playing on Normal I think. Maybe I'm exaggerating and the game isn't terrible.
The thing is I'm concurrently playing Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, and I'm coming off beating Spider-Man. And they're all much better games imo.

I do typically like this type of game (I've beaten and enjoyed the first two Tomb Raider games) so I'm hopeful that the series will pick up from here.

Seeing the responses in here makes me want to just power through Uncharted 1. Maybe I'll turn down the difficulty just to make things easier for myself

I found 1 to be the hardest, I died so many times especially in the underground water chamber mission

Horrible decision.
Game was 5-10 hours and you missed out on experiencing first hand one if the best games this generation.
I watched someone play through TLOU and Heavy Rain when they were both on PS3 because I didn't have one. Played through both of them when they came to PS4 and didn't regret one second. Still feel like I got my money's worth

Didn’t have a PS4 at the time and was more interested in the story than spending the time playing it. I was also applying for jobs at the time, so I’d have the videos running while doing cover letters and applications. *shrug* still enjoyed the game.

Operation Backlog has begun in earnest.

I platted Far Cry 5 this weekend. I currently have FFXV Pocket and Lost Sphear on the go, and started AC:Origins last night.

Lost Sphear is not near as good as I am Setsuna... but the battle mechanic is enjoyable.

I also got my 10th win in Blackout this weekend as well. Probably the last trophy I get from BO4 with the rest being Zombies focused.

benzilla427 benzilla427 I have a copy of HZD and I'm waiting for physical copies of GoW and SM to get to my $20 CDN price range before grabbing them.

I understand your frustration now, as you're concurrently playing games that are a decade newer so they've really tweaked and fine tuned the game mechanics. I'm actually working my way forward by playing the older games first and mixing it up with games from a different genre.

Yeah, I totally get you with the $20 price range. Since I bought an Xbox One last year and a PS4 on Black Friday I don't think I've paid over $20 (before tax) for any game.

The Nathan Drake Collection was $15 pre-owned from Gamestop and Uncharted 4 was $5. I bought GoW for $15 from GameFly's end of year sale, HZD Complete Edition from MassGenie for $9, and Spider-Man came bundled with my PS4 on Black Friday. :lol

It's funny, because I did play TR1 on the XBox 360 prior to the UC1 Remaster a few years back and the games are way too similar. One could say that 'Yamatai' and the mystery 'El Dorado' island are eerily similar.

Great update.

Since The Witcher is my first backlog game it is going pretty slow. Got caught up in the NIOH grind over the weekend :pimp:

Not really sure what I wanna get out of The Witcher since it can be played forever. Probably just gonna try to get like 10-15 levels above the dlc requirements, beat the dlc, and then move on.

I think Sleeping Dogs is next. Sekiro is the only game I am adding for sure (1/2) and I don’t know what my second game this year.

Between Catherine, The Division, and MK11 I am torn.

January is a wash for me. I’m still stuck at the in-laws house while I wait to close on my home. I have been chirping away at Bayonetta 1 on Switch though. I’m hoping to finish it this week and maybe move onto Bayonetta 2.

started Spider-Man and loving it, really digging the fact you can just swing around, patrol the city and stop those random crimes.
I unlocked all the towers already and started doing the backpacks and landmark photography. I want to the lab stuff to get the tokens but I guess I have to some more story stuff before the icons appear.
Heard the game is short so trying to do mostly side stuff with some story stuff.

Weak start to January for me too. Finished Let's Go Pikachu. Still playing rounds of BO4 and FIFA 19. Hopefully I get through KH1 and KH2 sometime early Feb.

I also just started Spider-man and doing exact same thing you are. I will be buying all the DLC eventually. Love this game.

I finished the first Spiderman DLC over Christmas break and was pleasantly surprised.

Screwball challenges are annoying until you get the hang of it, then they become pretty fun.

It looks like all 3 tie together which is kind of neat.

Don't know if posted yet but RDR2 on discount for $42 before tax/shipping: https://slickdeals.net/f/12602056-r...ping-w-shoprunner-or-ne-premier?src=frontpage

My two cents: Uncharted 1 isn't going to compare to current games, but I would still play it if I hadn't done so already. Uncharted 4 was the primary reason I wanted a PS4, along with God of War. After getting one during Black Friday, I started Spiderman, UC4 and God of War, and GoW is getting the most play time right now. I'm a big fan of the Uncharted series and I'm planning on playing Tomb Raider 2 and 3 at some point down the line.

My older brother would watch me play Uncharted and Tomb Raider, and it was apparently entertaining for him. He also watches a few people playing Rust online. I'm not really into that, as I'd much rather play a game than watch, especially for great experiences like the Last of Us. I'm way too much of a fan to have my first introduction to a game be a video as opposed to playing through it. I get not having time and putting on videos in the background while doing stuff, but for me I usually listen to podcasts or other content.

I've been mostly playing Uncharted 4 recently... I'm either going to play God of War or the Resident Evil 2 remake next... Haven't decided yet

I’ll probably just hold off for the game’s release.
