I remember trading my "stock" DS4 for a new one at Gamestop a few of months ago when I replaced it with the newer DS4s from a $35 Frys sale, and Gamestop still took in my old DS4 at "full trade value" with no refurbish fees or anything subtracted from it.
As long as the thing is workable, they'll trade accept it at full trade value

Went to GameStop and traded in both my ds4's.
Both worked fine enough for them to take the controllers.
Got $33 trade-in value. Only had to put in $42 of my own money to get 2 new controllers.

I agree, GT Sport is the best. However, Dirt 4, Dirt Rally, Burnout Paradise, and Need for Speed Payback are all great for their particular niche.
Driveclub is also super underrated. It was not good at release, but through patching was improved significantly.
