The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Oh absolutely. I hate that I know it's stupid and I have more than enough to play, but I hate even more how I immediately dismiss that as "broke boi" mentality and am ready to buy games I kind of am interested in that I will forget about for 2 years.:smh:
What games are you looking to get? Surprisingly there’s not too many for me. I’m looking at Far Cry 5, The Crew 2 (might get Forza Horizon 4), Overwatch and Wolfenstein II.

I’m also looking to grab that LG C8 in addition to a monitor.

Actually the same as you, minus Overwatch.

Add Spiderman, AC: Origins, new Tomb Raider, Lost Sphear, possibly Destiny: Forsaken, and several smaller titles.

DQ11 and RDR2 are the worst games for a backlog because I am more interested in messing around in the worlds than I am with finishing them.

For all you guys on here that do Xbox also; My son wanted a XBOX one X for christmas and AAFES had them on sale today for 120 off so I snagged him one.

What games are must owns for that console? I was thinking the latest Gears of War and Halo. Anything else?

Side note- Its a win for me too because now i have 4k disc player. TIA

I thought about adding AC: Odyssey and Tomb Raider Buy I’m certain they’ll be cheaper before I get around to playing them.

thats why i didnt list some of the cheaper brands honestly. if ur gonna do budget, save a couple hundred with vizio. but saving 4-500 off the price? nah. automatically something dont feel right

edit: ALSO, its been proven that many companies put out C grade versions of their models specifically for black friday. I remember a story 2 years ago that a customer bought a tv during black friday and when something inevitably went wrong he realized he had a tv set with a model number not even listed on their site. turns out it was a watered down version of the lowest tier of tv they had. real ugly

Same thing with Sony and Microsoft consoles?

Interesting to see this:

PlayStation Now Is the Highest-Earning Games Subscription Service

The all-digital future may be closer than we had thought, and Sony is at the front of the pack. A new report from Superdata has determined that subscription services for video games have taken in about $273 million in the third quarter of 2018. Standing above them all is Sony’s PlayStation Now service, which took $143 million. That is 52% of the market revenue. Other services included in the report were EA Access, EA Origin, EA Origin Access Premier, and Xbox Game Pass. EA’s services made a combined $90 million, while Game Pass took in around $41 million.

Interestingly, the subscription services account for only 6% of PC and console revenue (outside of free-to-play). However, the report does note that the media landscape is leaning towards subscription-based services, so it could be the start of an upward trend. It was also revealed that those who take part in subscription services are more likely to purchase add-on content versus those who don’t, $25 on average compared to $10.

PlayStation Now is a service that is continually growing, with games regularly being added. A new search feature known as Collections is starting to roll out, hopefully making combing through the library a little easier. In addition, the ability to download games is also being rolled out. The feature only applies to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 2 games at this time, however.

Are you a subscriber to PS Now? Or is game streaming not your thing? Let us know!

Also the GamePass dorks posting in here obviously not backing up their bluster.

My thoughts exactly.

I plan to pick up AC: Origins and Rise of the Tomb Raider this Black Friday, along with NBA 2K19.

BEST? lg oled. samsung qled is comparable. best budget 4k bang for buck will prolly be the vizio p or m series depending on ur budget.

royal edition adds more to do? can i buy it as an add-on or is it just stuff gets added to the base game so i gotta buy the game all over again type of deal?
It's an add on

C8 and a 4K monitor? Lord have mercy bro could I hold 20 playa?
Bro you know I just bought my first house, I been waiting to splurge like this my whole life :lol

I probably won’t be able to afford any new games once I leave Korea. Wifey gonna put me on a budget :{ :lol

Always wished PS had sunset overdrive

Forza Horizon Motorsport 4. It will be $35 at most places and probably amazon during Black Friday.

Heck even with Xbox Game Pass trial period you and your son can test out and play it and most of XB1 exclusive games, which I honestly don't care for and I honestly think a lot of their exclusive games are garbage.

Other than that the XB1X is good for backwards compatibility with games like Fight Night Champion.

^^^Wished Xbox had more games. That One X is a nice piece of hardware.

Nice but so LATE to the game this console gen because the launch OG XB1 came with the weak sauce and games were coming in at 900p res and not holding a stable 30 frames per second.

I'm going to catch a lot shade and rustle some jimmies with this next post. Just like when I talk about how OVERRATED The Witcher 3 is :lol

The times I've tried to play and the more videos I watch on Bloodborne it just feels like a modern day Castelvania game :lol

So yeah:

Castlevania is one of the best series of all-time though. Castlevania 1-3 all classic NES games. SotN still hasn’t been surpassed in the Metroidvania genre.

I did that like the first hour I played
There ain't many to do

It was fun but GOTY? Short with zero replay ability Nah
What’s your GotY? I think replay value is based on preference. I can tell you now, I’ll never play RDR2 again after I beat it. Same goes for GOW once I get that platinum. Tbh, I don’t really replay too many games. Of all the big AAA games to release this year, Spider-Man is the most fun to play imo.

Honestly, nothing really; but if I had too? RDR2 because how long it takes to beat
