The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Apparently you're not the only one, my man.

Compared to the NES Classics and SNES Classics when their preorders were first available online AND in-store, those sold out within hours.

As of this post, the PS1 Classic still has preorders available EVERYWHERE
...............not exactly a sign that people are buying into the hype over PS1 minis like they did over the two Nintendo Classic minis previously. (Granted, Sony could've surplused a **** ton of units to be available for pre-order.........but like I said, the two Nintendo minis pre-orders sold out within hours)

This is a good thing though. Cats that genuinely want this joint should have no issues getting it. Another thing is that SONY's PS4 is doing really well so the same people could also be putting money aside for game purchases on the inline hardware. As Ricky D Ricky D said, these early 3D games simply haven't aged well at all and the game mechanics are terrible when compared to present 3D games.

These Mini/Classic joints are novelty items at best. How many people you know racing home from school/work to play NES/SNES games in 2018. Resellers grabbed these and then viral marketing took over making these things highly sought after. Nostalgia's a hell of a drug but it wears off fast.

Sadly the Nintendo resellers are probably waiting for the Game Boy Mini or N64 Mini. :smh:

I decided I’m gonna go for the Spidey plat. I’m having a problem though. Went to the top of the avengers building to Perch but it’s not giving it to me for some reason. Stood on the red light and everything. Anybody else had this issue?

Is it possible you aren't sitting for long enough?

It's pretty hard to miss as you'll see the telltale Avengers 'A' symbol on it. For the trophy you'll need to climb right to the very top and perch atop one of the red lights for a few moments. While you're up there, it's a good idea to aim for Sticky and Tricky on your way down.

I have had the game since RD, but barely going to have time this week/weekend to get started. :smh:

Bad Religion Bad Religion , is that a good trophy guide to use? Don't want to look at it if its going to spoil the game.

PO

PSN Profiles's guides are great; I use them a lot. I haven't used the Spider-man one in particular, but when it comes to spoiler content with any other guide I have used, they while blur it all out. Similar to how NT has the spoiler function. However, if a trophy has a spoiler in its name, not much they can do to cover that up.

PSN Profiles is a site I am on everyday; I highly recommend their content when it comes to trophy hunting.

Also, a good way to use a guide and avoid spoilers is to read the guide intro.

Usually they will say "play the game up until X before worrying about trophies" or "play through the story, looking for the trophy requirements for X trophy".

That's usually the best way to play through the content without spoiling things for yourself, while still minimizing the backtracking needed for some trophies.

Bet I’ll try again when i get in the crib. Besides that game is dope though. And the story is really good.

Yeah Spider-Man looks amazing. Well probably get to it next year sometime.

A little salty you guys will be playing RDR next month withought me :{

Bloodborne was torture to me. I never made it past that giant dog nun or whatever it was. Spent like 30 minutes dodging, slashing it in the @#$, and bringing it down to near death, only for the cheating hit detection causing the creature to hit me 2-3 times from across the room and kill me immediately. This happened 5-6 times before I just gave up
Bloodborne/Dark Souls are games where you have to lose first to succeed. It is a bit of a chore learning attack and counter patterns, but most bosses can be figured out relatively easy. It’s the multiple target bosses where strategy goes out the window and you need a little luck and circumstance to win.
