We have used that power to create a world that goes far beyond anything we have ever done in terms of depth, interactivity and persistence."

"It’s the sense of life the game has that most sets it apart," Garbut adds. "When you first enter a town and you see the townspeople going about their business, building houses, selling papers, hanging out, you can instantly tell that we’ve never experienced this detail in an open world game before. Where you see a shack on a hill and you know there is something interesting for you there, maybe you will break in and stumble onto a mystery, or meet the owner and end up getting tangled in something. I think that’s when you can tell that it's new territory, when you are not even sure if what you’ve done was a mission or not. When all the systemic parts of the world come together with our scripted content in the right ways, it’s kind of incredible."

That level of immersion, Garbut says, is their biggest goal. "Making the player forget they are playing a game, and instead leaving them with a memory of a place," he says. "That’s how I leave this project personally, now we are finishing up, I’ve spent years living in this world every day and I’m going to miss it. But I leave it with memories of a place I’ve lived in. That’s pretty amazing."

I seriously laugh at people on here and other forums who lash out and are still pissed off at R* over how GTA Online evolved and turned into over the years and just keep going on and on about how they fear RDR 2' single player story mode would be affected. People seriously HATE R* so much over GTA Online.

Already got RDR2 preordered but nothing about this article makes me more hype. Sounds like your typical PR talk

They always do that wit their games.
That table tennis game was to test the graphics engine of part 4. max Payne 3 was the same wit part 5 and the aiming of it for red dead or somethin like that

I enjoyed Blackout. It’s definitely better than Fortnite for me. Between the MP, Blackout and Zombies, I’ll probably cop day one. It’s easier to do that since BF V was delayed.

I feel like im missing out on my ps4 pro potential. Only play my games and youtube.. any other cool things i should really hop on. Coppn spiderman this weekend and fifa later this month. Then Red dead 2 for oct.

It combined with a 4K gaming monitor is that way to go IMO. Huge difference

was loving Blackout mode as well.. just i dont got a headset for ps4 so i couldn't enjoy the full experience .I only only got A40s for xbox so ima be hype come friday

movement felt awesome, driving was smooth, TTK felt great

just gotta limit armor 3 to ONLY supply drops and change it to just tapping Square instead of holding

Realistically... most likely. My vote is for Spider-Man but R* makes generation defining games like it’s nothing.

They have DLC for October, November and December. First one is October 23rd. Their may be a 2nd wave of DLC depending on sales during 1st qtr 2019

Not to be "that" guy, but I always felt The Last Remnant and Blue Dragon would've done better on PlayStation.

ALOT better. Especially The Last Remnant. I had the Xbox version and even though i enjoyed it the frame rate issues were OD, especially once i saw how fast the combat moved in the PC version. It was night & day.
