The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Want to see more Ghost of Tsushima gameplay.

I’ve played so much damn DoA in my life, my goodness. My Ryu Hyabusa and Jann Lee and Christie were vicious. Can we get a new Ninja Gaiden please?!

I've seen a few YouTube and Twitch streams of that Blackout gameplay already...........it completely ****S on "Brokenite" and PUBG.

All those latest trending Battle Royale games needed was good gunplay, and you know you can get that with COD games.

Backlog looking crazy right now. Since no more Amazon discount will probably just wait to cop RDR 2.

Only got to play about an hour of spidey so far but it's really fun, hoping to get some more time in this week but I feel like I have none right now :lol

Hello everyone, my first gaming console that someone has bought for me was the PlayStation 2 (my first console ever was the Super Nintendo Entertainment System). I loved playing the Jak and Daxter and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai series when I was younger. Around the end of middle school my mother purchased and Xbox 360 Elite for me and I was amazed. The Naruto and Saints Row series were my favorites and played them numerous times. Afterwards, during my Junior year in high school I received a PlayStation 3 so I could play my older PlayStation 2 games and DC Universe Online. Though all great things must come to an end when the system fell ill to the Yellow Light of Death. After my freshmen year in college I was gifted an Xbox One for my birthday. Killer Instinct dominated my screen along with Sunset Overdrive (until I complete the story). After the countless updates and the Kinect becoming an accent piece for the console along with the termination of the voice commands left the Xbox One nothing more than a former shell of itself. I am here to tell you today that I am coming home; yesterday I have initiated the process of purchasing a PlayStation 4 Slim (500 GB) via Wal Mart's holiday layaway method. My first PlayStation 4 game will be Infamous: Second Son; I plan to secure Spider-Man during Black Friday when it will probably lower in price. I hope that the PlayStation community will accept me with welcoming arms.

"Grand Theft Auto V set a pretty high benchmark for us as a company, but even the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of that game were based on technical concepts from the PS3 era," Bass says. "Red Dead Redemption 2is our first game for the latest generation of hardware, and was an opportunity for our teams to upgrade every single aspect of our approach to game design at once, from graphics and lighting to AI, to weather, sound and score, facial and body animation and more. We have used that power to create a world that goes far beyond anything we have ever done in terms of depth, interactivity and persistence."

"It’s the sense of life the game has that most sets it apart," Garbut adds. "When you first enter a town and you see the townspeople going about their business, building houses, selling papers, hanging out, you can instantly tell that we’ve never experienced this detail in an open world game before. Where you see a shack on a hill and you know there is something interesting for you there, maybe you will break in and stumble onto a mystery, or meet the owner and end up getting tangled in something. I think that’s when you can tell that it's new territory, when you are not even sure if what you’ve done was a mission or not. When all the systemic parts of the world come together with our scripted content in the right ways, it’s kind of incredible."

That level of immersion, Garbut says, is their biggest goal. "Making the player forget they are playing a game, and instead leaving them with a memory of a place," he says. "That’s how I leave this project personally, now we are finishing up, I’ve spent years living in this world every day and I’m going to miss it. But I leave it with memories of a place I’ve lived in. That’s pretty amazing."

I seriously laugh at people on here and other forums who lash out and are still pissed off at R* over how GTA Online evolved and turned into over the years and just keep going on and on about how they fear RDR 2' single player story mode would be affected. People seriously HATE R* so much over GTA Online.

Rockstar could’ve gave more post- launch love to GTA V’s SP though.

More cars, clothes, customization stuff.

But then they might’ve made slightly less than the billions they did, so they refused to do so.

Luckily, there’s not million dollar cars and homes to buy in the Wild West.

Blackout is quite fun. It wouldnt be worth a purchase alone to me, but for anyone who hates panic builders in Fortnite, this remedies that.
