World of FF getting decent reviews
Sort of interested in this game. What do you do exactly? lol
Three hours in. Imagine a Final Fantasy that is aimed at a younger audience, crossed with Ni No Kuni.

The goal is to progress through areas, pushing the story. However, while doing so you are tasked with capturing mirages, which are the enemies in the game. Once captured, you can stack with these enemies to become more powerful and use the unique abilities each have.

I am not crazy about the story, but it actually gives you the option to fast forward or skip cut scenes entirely.

The combat is the best part about it. Classic turn-based.

To those complaining about the combat menu, they have an option to switch to classic. Makes it much more in-tune with classic FF games.

The cameos from old FF characters are great, as are the variations to old fan-favorite enemies.

It's a great fan service that has a very good combat system. You just might have to hold your nose during the story cut-scenes.

Are you playing on PS4 or Vita? Also do you have to choose classic menu every time you go into battle or can you make it permanent? When I played the demo, I had to set it to classic every encounter which was kind of weird and annoying for me.

On PS4, but I agree that it would be a great Vita choice, too. There are an over-abundance of fast travel and save options so it can be played in smaller chunks if you wish.

The change can be permanent. I was bothered by the constant switch too, but in the full game you can select it in the settings. Completing the demo gives you small gift in-game.

Suikoden IV coming to PS3 as a PS2 classic, nothing as far as PS4 :{

What cameos are there

Tons. At least 1 character from every numbered game as far as I can tell. Alot of the voices sound spot on as well.

Dropped:catherine, final fantasy 13 1-2

Put in a combined total of about 5h.

Had em for 2.5 years.

13 1/2's combat was too passive for me. Felt like I'm watching more than playing.

The last ff I'll try to get into before ff15 is lightning returns.

So far the combat is more engaging, since the moves are mapped to the buttons.

I was going to hold off on WoFF but I might go ahead and cop it during B2G1 free. Right now I'm thinking BF1, WoFF and something else. Not sure tho, maybe Skyrim? I'm also thinking about going in on 3DS games too DQ7, Bravely Second and SMT IV: Apocalypse.

If you have a Vita WoFF seems more practical on it imo. I had a hard time committing to it on the couch, and the mirage stacking seems like it will be a chore as you'll constantly be trying to catch every stronger enemy and constantly changing your set up. I'm now more motivated to get Setsuna, looks like more of my kind of game from what I've seen.

binding of Isaac +afterbirth has to be on sale in week 2

Final Fantasy XV will look better on the PlayStation 4 Pro, director Hajime Tabata revealed. Speaking with French website Gameblog (translated by Nicolas), fans were given a small idea of what to expect at launch – including better visuals.

According to Tabata, it wasn’t long ago they came to know the PS4 Pro. As a result they really haven’t had time to take full advantage of the new hardware. At the moment they haven’t been able to show something satisfying.

Continuing, Tabata says they still have time to work on it and can assure fans a Pro patch will be available when Final Fantasy XV launches on November 29. He says the game will be optimized for the console and will be even more beautiful.

But what about the version we saw at TGS? That footage was from a demo made specifically for that event that focused only on graphical improvements. The game itself was not really improved, only the cosmetics. In the final Pro version, Tabata says there’s even more changes to come and clearly the PS4 Pro version of the game will be better visually.

So basically the team did what they could with the time they had, but the final version will be even better.
