Yup each retailer: Gamestop stores, Best Buy's, Walmart, Etc, and Amazon are given a certain allotment number from Sony on how many pre orders they can take to guarantee day 1 launch date orders they can meet.

I have no idea. Both the standard edition and day one edition were listed at $399.

Launch edition is guaranteed on release day , standard edition isn't. 

What games are you guys gonna get at launch? I haven't played anything but sports games in years, but I'm watching the trailer for Watch Dogs and it looks pretty crazy

For example, say on call of duty it would take longer for me to get on match compared to the 360 which is almost instantly. Mind you this was before my ps3 crapped out with the YLOD.

That has LESS to do with PSN and MORE to do with Infinity Ward / TreyArch servers.

Go to a Goodwill or something similar. I see PS2 for $5.00-$10.00 all the time. I used to buy them and trade them into GameStop for more credit.
