The first Uncharted and Assassin's Creed both released the same year. Prince of Persia is probably the grandfather to both games climbing, parkour, and environmental puzzles. (Minus the wall running.)

One of the best MP games I've played. Imo, it actually is similar to Gears.

I stand corrected, apparently Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, which released in 2003 also by Ubisoft, is the true grandpappy. Never played any of them and got into UC late, around 2013.
